Returning from a day out we decided to eat out at the Blackboard. We have previously had a Sunday Lunch carvery here and were well satisfied. We arrived just after 5.30 and were offered a full menu and a choice of specials. The menu choice was good and the specials offered two vegetarian options. My wife chose Penne pasta and I chose the sausage and mash. .The portions were generous and came with seasonal vegetables. As we were early we were the only diners and the room was a little cold ans lacked atmosphere ,however the room is well decorated and bright and the toilets clean and well maintained.
