Went for a midweek treat with family and had the "teaser" menu .
Nice sized generous portions , beautifully cooked, well presented and flavoursome. By the time we were finished we were all pleasantly stuffed !
Nice clean modern surroundings, polite attentive staff and a well organised front of house host .
Not the first time here and won't be the last , really enjoyable !
Average cost per person with a couple of drinks worked out at £20 , I think for the experience we had represented good value .

Ate here with a friend after being recommended it.

We ordered the mixed platter t begin with - amazing sea weed, 2 yummy spring rolls, bbq ribs - all very yummy.

then I ordered the 'teaser' menu - a choice of 2 dishes and rice (incase you cant decide). My friend had singpore noodles.

The portions were such good value we couldnt finish them.
service was amazing
we ate outside which was lovely in the sunshine.

would highly recommend.

We visited this busy restaurant/pub for our wedding anniversary. We had heard about it from others and thought we'd try it, having enjoyed many good Chinese meals in the past elsewhere. Unfortunately this meal was neither good, nor anywhere close to good!

We ordered a set 'banquet' for two - first mistake. The mixed platter was appalling, 2 greasy spring rolls, a few tiny, inedible spare ribs (mainly bone and gristle), some soft white bread spread with something(!) and sesame seeds that masqueraded as prawn toasts, and a little 'seaweed', all bunged, sorry, placed on a plate! Poor to say the least. We also ordered, as an extra, the aromatic duck and pancakes; this was the highlight of the meal as this was well presented and tasty. The other parts of the 'banquet' consisted of: 6 king prawns (good) on a plate of partly cooked onions and slices of ginger, all in a slimy sauce; beef satay, also on a plate of the almost raw onions and in a slimy sauce (the pieces of beef were OK) ; and sweet and sour chicken, or tiny pieces of something fried in really hard batter and covered in a sweet sticky lurid pink sauce. The Yung Chow rice was good apart from the inclusion of uncleaned prawns, still with the poo tract present - not nice. Portion sizes were good, but overall it was a case of quantity, not quality.

The beer was good but don't ever bother with the Mixed Platter.

We would usually talk to the restaurant ourselves but on this occasion, as it was our 'evening', we decided not to spoil it any further so we paid and left BUT never to return!

If you are happy with this quality of food and just want to order some plates of food (all with chips as we saw on one table), then you will be fine, but this food was as far removed from authentic Cantonese as it's possible to get. The whole place was packed with customers at the bar, including many drinking and smoking outside the door, making it difficult to get in or out by 8pm. Is this place trying to be a Chinese restaurant or a pub with food? It needs to decide on its identity. It seems to work well as a pub but leaves a lot to be desired as a Chinese restaurant.

Had been recommended to try it and this one lived up to its billing !! The food was delicious and plentiful , we had the set menu for 2 at £21 a head and it was more than we could eat. It was so good we went back again to try another set menu and that was equally delicious. Service was sharp and friendly and drink prices very sensible. We love it and will be working our way through the menu :-)
