We stayed one night B&B, with lunch and Dinner.
Our room was overlooking the rear of the building.
The bedroom and bathroom were clean, with plenty of storage space.
Toiletries, adequate tea, coffee etc.
The service in the Bar and Restaurant were very very good.
Prompt, friendly service.
A good choice of food and beers.
Breakfast was served to the table, apart from tea and coffee.
A hearty breakfast, even chosing the "Half', rather than the 'Full' English.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience, highly recommended.

We are not local and were visiting a relative in the area. Booked a table on the day as we were only 15 minutes away. I called at 1310 and booking a table for 1330, wasn’t a problem. Great stuff!

Turned up at 13:20 and ordered drinks, still no problems. Grabbed some menus and chose our food. My wife went in to order the food about 13:45 and came back out quite a while later saying there is a 10 minute wait on orders due to capacity issues. she had queued up and was only told this when she got to the bar. Why couldn’t her order have been taken and loaded on and they informed her there is a 10 minute delay instead of being turned away?

I then went back in with my wife a little while later (maybe 5-7 minutes) and we were then told there was an even longer wait and they stop serving food at 2pm (it’s now 1355) so the kitchen will be closing. Even recommended other places to eat....seriously! I’ve not experienced anything like this before.

Only when a waitress said I had booked a table did things change. The kitchen was asked if they could fit us in and and our food was ordered and paid for.

Most of the food was nice but mine was average - half chicken in a basket. Not worth the £14 and it and the chips had been left in the oil too long, very greasy. Even a few waaaay undercooked chips in there.

We were not asked if our food was ok. I think we were one of the last tables to be served. Didn’t see a waitress once we were served. I didn’t fancy going back into the bar to give feedback.

Given 3 stars. Staff were friendly and the beer was good. Otherwise would have been 2.

When next in the area will probably avoid.

Delicious food, as always. Very friendly staff. Very popular Inn so a bit of a wait for food but well worth it. Lovely setting next to the village church & plenty of interesting places to visit nearby eg. petting farm &shop, Little Moreton Hall.
