Reviewed February 1, 2012

Ticks all the box's for our family ,we have been many times now and have always been made very welcome ,when busy you may have to wait a little longer for food but it's worth waiting for .the staff are very pleasant and nothing is to much trouble
The only comment we once asked the chef to come to the table and didn't show

“Lovely country pub with great food, friendly staff and fantastic atmosphere!”
Reviewed December 17, 2011

The Wagon and Horses is easy to find on the main A34 between Congleton and Alderley Edge.
With a large car park this is a typical english country pub with a good food, friendly staff and a warm welcoming atmosphere. They serve bar food (all made to order) or have a nice welcoming restaurant with daily specials, a good mix of grills and vegetarian and on Sundays a choice of roasts.
A very pleasant beer garden to the rear of the pub with a childrens play area is great fun in the summmer months.
The Wagon & Horses also has 6 en-suite letting bedrooms which are well presented and very comfortable.
On the first Sunday of each month there is a "Clay pidgeon shoot" which is licenced and professionally run where bookings for individuals, parties or corporate events are available.
Each Sunday evening at 8.30pm there is a quiz night - all new teams can expect a friendly welcome!

“Superb food in a great location...”
Reviewed November 14, 2011

My partner and I visited for the second time for some lunch and it was great again. The menu offers a good selection of classic pub dishes. The food was very fresh, super quality and well cooked. The service was friendly and efficient.
