I was travelling with friends on the Macclesfield Canal and we stopped for lunch at the Queens Head. Excellent selection of six real ales and average lunchtime pub food. Decor was tired and the bar area was cold with only a feeble gas fire.
The location, although very convienient for the canal, is right next to an elevated road and the main line. Not sure how easy it would be to sleep at night.
We did not stop at the hotel over night.
