In the small village of Boat of Garten is a "wee Treasure" of a restaurant called Anderson's,
It is small [ seating for about 24] with a relaxed and informal atmosphere. The staff is a very friendly group, each one knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients. There is a "wine of the month" board - very good too!
There is a good range of dishes using local ingredients - themed under titles - from the air;from the sea; from the earth. They make their own ice cream - with interesting varieties - from "gunpowder" [ treacle, chilli and raspberry] to "baked potato"!!!! There are daily speacials both at lunch time and in the evening.
Prices are very reasonable - starters around £5.00 Mains around £12. Dinner had good vegetarian choices.
Lunches are VERY good value - 2 courses £9.99 three at £12.99.
My ONLY SMALL criticism is that at lunch time there was no vegetarion choice, however I ate the fish crumble and it was DELICIOUS!
