The Cuilfail has been an occasional stopping off point during our business and personal travel for several years. This time we called the hotel at short notice on the off chance of two rooms for ourselves and friends. They came up trumps. The hotel is a historic building which has seen the passage of many folks and this adds to its character. The internal fittings of the hotel show the care and detail that were put into the original building. Every time we have been we have seen positive improvements to the rooms and building as a whole.
This time our room was at the rear of the hotel with views of the hills. The room was huge and comfortable.
Our evening meal in the bar was delicious and the 3 Sisters real ale is a pretty good pint (the beers rotate quite frequently and I've not had a bad pint).
All in all a very nice place to stay. Its not the Hilton, but it's a family run, pleasant and typically Scottish "Period" hotel. Love it.
