What a surprise we had when we called in to Cei Bach Cafe, the breakfasts are fantastic and the Thai cirrus on a Friday are class they make a mild one and hot for those who like a bit of a kick, really friendly people calling there plus there's seats outside where you can relax and talk to the locals, been there three times now and the food has been bloody first class well done to you all and see you soon.

This cafe is situated on the site of a car valeting business, though it's entirely separate. Don't let that put you off, though. Inside it's a small, bright, freshly decorated space with just three eat-in tables and a menu of typical breakfast foods plus a small shop selling a few basics like milk, snacks and newspapers.

The breakfasts are the attraction, served through the day. I have called into the cafe for a coffee a few times, but last time I enjoyed a tasty cooked breakfast comprising a sausage, bacon, egg, beans, tomato and toast, plus a coffee, all for £2.50. All nicely cooked to order and at that price I was pleasantly surprised that the sausage was so nice - usually what I don't like about bargain breakfasts. You can have a larger breakfast (two of everything - I think) for £4, so great value. Food is also available to take away. Another unusual aspect of this cafe is that one of the proprietors is Thai, and she cooks Thai curries on Fridays and also by special request (if booked a day or so before) and they are proving very popular - only £4 for a full meal including rice/chips.

There's also a small amount of outside seating for the warmer months. It's normally open until 6pm during the week, so well worth a visit. Makes an interesting contrast to the Sosban Restaurant, which is just around the corner!
