This actually belongs to the same group as Le Bouchon du Ferret and another restaurant in Bordeaux. It is also called Chez Magne. We arrived early one sunny evening and the environment is very relaxed - not much of a view; but watching the locals and their dogs was fun. However the waiter was busy talking to his friends so it took a while to get noticed once we had been seated. We ordered our usual glass of champagne, which I didn't like (very unusual). It was not corked; but it tasted strange. In any case, I would have thought they would have tasted it and opened another bottle. No such thing. I had quite an argument with the chap, as he agreed he didn't like it but wouldn't do anything about it - only ask us if we wanted something else to drink. We ended up forgetting anbout the aperitif and going straight for the wine. I asked his opinion about a couple of bottles, and he kept suggesting a rather ordinary wine from provence. They were supposed to have the same wine list as Le Bouchon du Ferret, but I suspect they only had three varieties - red, white and rose. Anyway, that spoiled it competely for us. We ate the food, which was pretty mediocre, and then asked for the bill. We waited, and waited. eventually we realized that you had to go to the till (they could have told us). What a waste of a lovely environment.
