“Well positioned and comfortable cottage to explore a stunning area”
Reviewed August 24, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Really well equipped kitchen that became the hub of activity during our stay - must be great in winter when the Aga is fired up. Very few niggles and these were quickly sorted through Imogen.
Such peace and quiet but still close enough to Haydon Bridge for shops and pubs etc. Would have no hesitation in booking up again.

Thank you for the kind review and your patience when the boiler was playing up. It really is lovely and cosy in the winter with the Aga on. I hope you will come back to see for yourselves!

“Comfortable, well located.”
Reviewed July 29, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We stayed for nine nights, using the opportunity to explore Hadrian's Wall and the district. The cottage is well equipped, warm and cosy with magnificent views of the surrounding landscape. The kitchen was easy to manage, the sitting room comfortable as was the bed. The appliances were simple to drive without reading complicated instruction books and one did not have to test one's IQ on the workings of the shower. We loved the place and the environment and, of the chance arises, will stay again.

“Superb Cottage in Beautiful Location.”

Superb accommodation in beautiful period cottage. Very nicely fitted out and spotlessly clean. Very nice to share with friends having one bedroom en suite and a separate bathroom. The Aga in the kitchen was great in December!

We were there at the time of the December floods and Imogen, the property manager, made sure we had an alternative access route to miss flooded roads, and enquired several times that we were OK. Wonderful service. Definitely visit again.

“Fabulous cottage in beautiful rural setting”

Pagecroft is an exceptionally well-restored property, set in breathtaking rural surroundings. The décor, the linen, the shower fittings etc are all of the best quality, tastefully chosen. We were there in cold, wet weather, and the Aga in the kitchen was wonderful, both for warmth and for drying our damp clothing. The uninterrupted view from our bedroom window was of rolling fields down to the river, and the bird feeders outside the kitchen window attracted a stunning number and variety of wild birds. If you like a peaceful, rural, traditional cottage, this is one for you. Will definitely return.

“A peaceful haven in a wonderful setting.”

We have just returned from a lovely week at Pagecroft Cottage, feeling refreshed and relaxed. The cottage has wide views of the valley above Haydon Bridge and is tucked away on the side of a hill overlooking fields and woods. We had a warm welcome from Imogen and were delighted with our welcome tray, tea, coffee, milk, delicious biscuits and the wild birds outside the kitchen window! The cottage is beautiful, spotless and full of character. The road links are excellent, within easy reach of Hadrian Wall and the Roman forts. Hexham and Corbridge are interesting town's nearby and we made a longer trip to Bamburgh and Seahouses which was worth the effort. The train service from Haydon Bridge provides good access to Carlisle and Newcastle. There is plenty to see and do in the area with good pubs and lots of places for tea and cakes. The cottage is so cosy, though we brought the cakes back to have with a cuppa either in the spacious kitchen or on the patio enjoying the Northumberland countryside!
