“Warm and welcoming”
Reviewed April 29, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

A very comfortable cottage. The aga makes the kitchen and upstairs bathroom very cosy, and everything is clean and in good condition. The window seat provides a lovely, relaxing place from which to watch the variety of birds on the feeders, which were well stocked.
If I had to find a negative, it would be that the stair is very steep, but in such a characterful cottage that really is only to be expected. Parking didn't prove a problem with our small car.
We would certainly be happy to stay in Pagecroft cottage again.

“A perfect base for exploring the area”
Reviewed April 28, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Stayed at Pagecroft cottage for a four night break and found it to be the perfect base for exploring Northumberland.
The cottage was immaculate and very cosy especially the kitchen that was always warm thanks to the aga.
The bed in the main bedroom was the most comfortable bed we have ever had in a holiday rental and it is so peaceful you are guaranteed a good nights sleep.
With views from all the windows of lambs in the fields and the birds feeding outside the kitchen window you really feel your getting away from the every day rat race.
The road up to the cottage is a bit steep and narrow but we didn't have any problems navigating it and Hadon Bridge is within walking distance so no need to take car if you need shopping or are eating out.
Totally recommended thanks.

“Charcuter Cottage in Beautiful Location”
Reviewed April 25, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

This characuter cottage is in a peaceful location with splendid views overlooking the countryside. The cottage was clean and the fresh flowers left gave it a nice "homely" feel. Easy to find with the directions provided and it has a parking space. It is near a road but this is mainly used by farm traffic. It has an aga which keeps the cottage nice and warm. Beds were comfy in fact one of the best that I have stayed in for a self catering cottage. Kitchen is well equiped and the local shops will provide what you would need although Hexham is close by and well worth a visit. Ideal base to travel around Northumberland and come back to. Very much enjoyed our stay here. Only thing I would say is the stairs are quite steep and older or less mobile people may not find these to their liking.

“Great week away”
Reviewed March 19, 2014 for a stay in March 2014

The cottage has bags of character; the kitchen in particular is incredibly warm and welcoming with the Aga throwing out a constant gentle heat. There are several pubs to choose from in the village and the local shops keep everything you might need. The cottage is about a 15 min walk out of the village up an unlit farm road so we chose not to walk to dinner. I would recommend this cottage wanting a relaxing gettaway.

“My Cosy Winter Cottage”
Reviewed January 2, 2014 for a stay in December 2013

Following detailed clear instructions was able to find cottage easily, although I did drive out earlier in the day as easy to miss track if dark. The road up to cottage was fine although there was no snow when I visited. Parking Adequate 3 point turn required when going out but no problem at all.
The area was perfect for me as I prefer peace and quiet. Horses and riders seen regularly.
Lots of birds too watch on bird table in front of kitchen window. One particular important point is that this cottage was lovely and warm. The aga is brilliant coming downstairs in morning you can feel the warmth hit you as you go down the stairs. So if like me you hate the cold this cottage is perfect. An electric fire in the lounge provided good heat too.
Bedrooms very comfortable.
Cleanliness was exceptional so whoever is responsible for the cleaning ....excellent!
This property is well maintained. I cannot think of anything that would improve this cottage.
My mother stayed with me for a couple of days she is 80 and managed the stairs, but they are steep.

Just had a short weekend break in the cottage and could not find fault with anything. It is the perfect country retreat with everything you could possibly want for a relaxing break. The living room was very cosy but the beating heart of the place was the kitchen with the Aga at the centre of it.Like others before us,we had a lovely breakfast while watching the birds have theirs on the feeder outside.

“Perfect location, perfect property.”
Reviewed November 1, 2013 for a stay in October 2013

Stayed here for a week at the end of October with our two children, the house is in an idyllic location above Heydon Bridge, both the owners and the manager are very friendly and helpful, the accommodation is perfect, set in open countryside but only a few miles from all that the area has to offer.
