“Hunley Hall - What a Place to Stay!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2012

Stayed there for 2 nights DBB and 3 rounds of golf, for a fantastic deal. The staff are excellent, friendly and helpful. The rooms are fabulous and if you have a sea view then even better again. The food, is again brilliant and again staff so helpful.
A special thanks to Angela in reception - she is a star!
My only moan - why charge so much for a beer! The price charged is the same as a Devere 5*hotel, reduce your prices and then we wouldn't have to go out into the village so much!
Apart from that the place is fabulous and such a little gem in a quiet corner of North East England.

Room Tip: All the rooms are fab!

I stayed here recently for three nights on business. The hotel recpetionist was nice and welcoming and although my room was not ready at checkin they took my bags and told me to wait in the bar or come back later. When I went back about 5:30pm to collect my bags the receptionist said "I'll have to take you to your room". It was a good five min walk around the hotel to reach my room, as one stage walking through a "building site" (the hotel appeared to be refurbishing a number of rooms.) The room was very large and cleanish. The beds were terrible so soft you fell into a whole in the middle. Breakfast was nice and freshly made "suposedly" rather than a buffet. The localcation however was stunning and the views fanitastic. Golf Course too was great. One thing to note was the approach to the hotel was through a housing estate so dont panic thinking your Sat Nav is playing up.

Room Tip: Check your bed !!!!!

My friends and I have just spent 4 days staying here, The weather was not the best but the staff bent over backwards to make our stay fantastic. The pro even booked us golf at another course when Hunley was closed, even provided maps for us. The icing on the cake was the food, it was first rate, We have been staying here for a a number of years and we all agreed that the food was the best ever. It is worth a visit even if you are not a golfer there are plenty of places to visit. Whitby is a short car ride away.

Myself and 3 golf buddies have just had a 2 day golf break at Hunley Hall and it was fantastic value for money. The mixture of golf courses made for interesting and testing golf, even better if I had managed to miss getting into some of the awesome bunkers. The hotel was really good with very friendly staff. The food was of a particularly high standard and served up very stylishly. This hotel and golf complex is situated in a very picturesque area with beautiful sea views and would be a great base for touring this part of England. All the staff will make you very welcome.

Room Tip: Chose a sea view room, the views are worth a little extra.

Stayed here for one night, comfortable family room with large double and full size single. Had a meal in the restaurant with beautiful sea view. The food was excellent and so was the service. The only thing I would do if we stayed again is to book a seaview room. For the price the room was excellent, clean and comfortable.

Room Tip: Ask for a seaview

Stayed last night 01/09/2012 ( room 3 ) and the room was clean, tidy and very spacious. The surroundings are spotless as well as ample free parking availability. The food was great, with drinks prices fairly and the staff were very professional and friendly. I would definitely stay again and thank all the staff for a pleasant stay.

Room Tip: I had the chicken Parmo, which was great, but the Fish & Chips looked amazing.

Stayed here for four nights whilst walking in North Yorth Yorkshire. The hotel is modern with large rooms which are comfortable and spotlessly clean. I found the staff very friendly and helpful and the food in the bar very good. I will definitely stay here again and would be happy to recommend to others. The view from the breakfast bar over the golf course to the high cliffs on the coast is well worth waking up for in a morning!
