Parkhotel Bolognese is an excellent hotel in Treviso, about 40 minutes by train to Venice. We had a spacious room, there's a lot of choice at breakfast and a nice relaxing area (sauna, Turkish steambath and swimmingpool).

This was our first stop on a family holiday touring Italy, and was booked using vouchers for hotelvouchershop. After flying into Treviso airport, we had problems getting a taxi so we rang the hotel, who called a taxi to come and pick us up! The rooms (we had a double and a triple) were nice, but the third bed in the triple room was a camping bed so it's not really suitable for 3 adults to share a triple room. Also, the double room was on the street side of the hotel and there was a lot of noise from cars. The rooms were clean and the food was very good, although the restaurant was quite empty on the one night we ate there. The best feature of the hotel though, is it's location-perfect for getting to Venice. We caught a bus to the train station from the stop outside of the hotel and the train goes straight to Venice, the whole journey probably took us an hour and cost around 10 euros each. I'd definitely stay here again if I was to return to Treviso, but there isn't enough to do in town to last more than a couple of nights (even with a visit to Venice)!

This was stop #2 on our group's tour of Italy and what impressed us most was the elegant old world feel this property had; it certainly felt like it was part of a mansion at some earlier time (the area has many mansions) and had been added onto to provide the extra rooms. Things like the old-school big, heavy key that went into the door lock. reminded us of an earlier time when hotels had such set ups before the introduction of card keys. With a setting like this, the more traditional-bordering-on-antiques furnishings were so appropriate. Meals were included and surprisingly good! The Manager of the dining room even obtained the soup recipe for me (it was a fabulous blend of vegetables) and the sining room service was exceptional. What a nice way to settle into the whole Italian experience! After 2 nights, we decided we'd come back here again if our adventures take us to Treviso; rooms were quiet and the location quite convenient for trips to Venice. We understand that Treviso is where the wealthy Venetians spend their summers and I can understand why.

I stayed here as a large group in September 2012. The hotel was wonderful. The staff were very helpful, always brilliantly friendly and simply could not have done more for the whole group. I would personally like to extend my thanks to all of them for making all of our stay so enjoyable.

We stayed in this hotel this summer and it was a very nice surprise for us as we had already stayed in two other BW hotels, in Siena & Florence which did not worth the money.
This hotel was in a great location, the rooms were very clean, the breakfast was very good and the staff very friendly.
We would definitely come back to this hotel :-)

This Hotel was chosen quite randomly over the internet the day before. We had had a bad hotel experience in Verona so we were very unsure about this one especially as I am unfamiliar with Treviso. It is on a very busy road and it was not looking promising but what a great surprise.
I have read other reviews and they are mixed. I really liked this hotel. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious, well furnished. The pool was really nice , free wi fi , easy free parking and delightful staff. A well cared for garden and a nice sitting area outside if you were brave enough to cope with the heat. This small, family owned hotel had everything we needed and I would have liked to have stayed longer and explored this lovely area of Northern Italy.
I would most certainly stay here again.

I just recently got back from Italy where I stayed 2 nights at this hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE! The staff convenience us to ship back our wine/olive oil purchases to save on the weight limits for luggage. Not only did they WAY over charge us, they opened all of our purchases! Then once we left, we received a call a day later that they re-packed it and we had pay 70 MORE euros to receive all of our items. We ended up paying way over $200 to have 6 bottles of wine and 2 olive oils sent to us to Atlanta, GA. They lied, held our purchases hostage and the hotel wasn’t even that nice. If you can’t trust them with your shipping, do you really believe you can trust them with items in your room?! Don’t stay here!!

Management response:Responded July 11, 2012

Dear Mrs Lori

We are very humbled to read this entire review and also, somehow,
very disappointed to read the words of customers.

We report, for clarity and justice, the facts, so as they occurred:
Customers have requested information on how to ship to the United States, Atlanta, some bottles of wine and oil.

We have made contact by telephone with MAIL BOX ™, specialized authorized company to these shipments, a recognized international brand, the phone is ++39 0422 2251
MAIL BOX briefly informed us that:
You can process up to a maximum of 06 bottles for each pack/packaging
You cannot ship together with the six bottles, other objects bottles
and the relative cost to ship as required

The information has been reported to customers in the same terms.

The customer, at a later time, delivered one package ended our reception.

We called the company MAIL BOX ™, for the withdrawal and subsequent shipment.

Shortly after the MAIL BOX ™ Company , called us to communicate,
that as they practice,
THEY have opened the package and found found inside, all together:
nr 06 bottles of wine
nr 02 bottles of oil
some clothes and other objects of the customer.

They, therefore, had to prepare other single packages with an extra charge, it was therefore necessary, an additional payment.

We, at our expense, we contacted the customer, who had already left the hotel to highlight the references of the MAILBOX.

As a further caution, we made sure that the person responsible of the MAILBOX fortunately speaks perfect English, contacted the customer and to avoid
any possible misunderstanding.

We reiterate again, for sufficient clarity, that no extra charge was done by the hotel to the customer.

We Invite, with this occasion, the client to review their expression and reflect on the words addressed to us, because we have received as a serious injury.

At any time for any further clarification, MAILBOX can be contacted directly to e-mail mbe492@mbe.it, we can be contatec at info@hotelbolognese.com

Very bitter for us is the fact that the Customer then, in addition to comment at the final, expressed negative generic opinions , undermining all our efforts to serve customers, since over 15 years. Of course we are far from perfe3ction, but believe
we try harder and harder, every day, to satisfy all clients.

We remain at your disposal for any further explanation and evidence.

We invite you, after appropriate investigation and verification to remove the comment OF Clients, because it is absolutely untrue and / or in the alternative with the same evidence attach our comments in defense of our honor, and we will reserve all possible actions, If we receive damages because of publication of this guest not sincere not balanced.

We remain
