Quite old hotel (but it is a historic villa so what else could be expected :-)), a bit too dark room in the attic, not very spacious but the beds were comfortable. The night was stifling, but when we opened the window traffic noise disturbed to sleep . However, you can get used to it. Breakfast was good (very delicious, warm croissants and cake lemon), coffee from vend machine, but good, was clean in the dining room. The rooms were cleaned every day, only discomfort was a very poorly running water in the bathroom which altered the temperature. Very nice surroundings, big parking on site (free), a beautiful garden, flowers, palm trees, statues. Right next to the hotel is a bus stop in the direction of Treviso (but first you have to get to the center Preganziol, than change the bus for nr 21) and also in the direction of Venice. I have good memories staying at this hotel.

My husband and I spent two nights at the Villa Vicini for our wedding anniversary: Wonderful, truly special overall setting incl. generous, park-like forecourt (see image) and exceptional, small salon.
Beautiful, uniquely furnished room and bathroom (e.g. very well preserved historic wooden floor and ceiling!), both kept perfectly clean and tidy by the room service. Very comfortable bed and all facilities modern and working faultlessly. Very considerate, competent, multilingual reception staff. For us, a trip to Venice will always imply staying at the Villa Vicini. Grazie e complimenti!!

Stayed for 2 nights around Easter '11. Drove down from Lago De Garda and checked-in at 2 pm.

Gave room 404. The room was shabby - cobwebs in each corner and worst of all, dead bugs around the bed, windows and bathrooms. Complained to reception who offered me a bug spray! Since there was a 8 month baby in the room, this wasnt an option. Since there wasnt a dedicated housekeeping, after complaining for an hour, they sent a lady to clean. She came with a vaccum and finished her job in 2 minutes, leaving most of the dirt and webs in place. Again I complained, reception said she was the cook so disturbed her siesta (!) and the housekeeping will clean tomorrrow.

The best was yet to come. Bathroom bulb not working (they changed it quickly though). No signal on TV. After 3 hours when we started to settle, the room was quite stuffy. AC not working. Called reception who said they do not have permission to switch on till 15th May! It was 29 degrees outside. We went out for a drive hoping room would chill as night set in.

At 11.30 pm when it was still warm and the baby couldnt sleep, called again to request to start AC. Reception refused and told us to open windows which have a garden and bushes outside - no bars or nets to keep insects out.

No room service other than a basic breakfast that ends at 10 am. Want water, go out and search. Just 2 high priced - low value restaurants nearby. Anything else you need to take a bus (we had a car thank god) to Treviso (10 kms) or Mogliano (5 kms).

4 star - Nope. Wouldnt rate it a 1 star for service and facilities. The only good thing is that there is a direct bus to Venice, mestre or Treviso from right outside the hotel. But thats true for 20 other hotels on the road.

Avoid big time.

We stayed for 4 nights to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. The hotel is set in a beautiful position. Easy to get to Venice and treviso by bus. Only one decent restaraunt nearby called Patio, ex food and great service. Breakfast ok but nothing special, staff very freindly and helpful. Very clean. Only one problem was at night.... The bedroom doors slam heavily and we were disturbed every night by other guests and the Chinese were totally inconsiderate, shouting down corriders at 7am....Also had wood pigeons cooing in our roof as we were top floor.. But other than getting a good night sleep we thouroughly enjoyed our stay and Venice was wonderful...

I was with my family and some friends and I have to say that I wasn't desapointed. Clean, very clean actually, nice, everything it's ok. Our room was not perfect, I mean It was a little bit noisy, maybe because of the position (the corner), but our's friends room was super.
And the breakfast can be improoved but comparing with what we have ate in other places (everything was very expensive and the portions very, very small) it was ok.
We really enjoyed the place.

Arrived at Marco Pollo Airport in Venice where the Hotel Staff arranged beforehand to have a local Taxi driver pick us up for 35 Euros, a saving over using a Taxi at the airport. The Park Hotel Villa Vicini is a lovely, small hotel in the countryside where we stayed for two evenings to overcome jet lag. The hotel itself is very clean and stylish. I've attached a number of photos I took while there to give a sense of the place and the tranquil setting it presents. If you are looking for a quiet, non-busy location in which to relax for a few days before taking off on your cruise from Venice, this is the place!

The staff was very pleasant and helpful in all respects. I would especially like to compliment the two staff members we had the most contact with, Giovanna Gradella and Alexander, both who helped us with dinner arrangements, bus routes and sights to see in the immediate area. They could not have been nicer to us!! I wish I could speak Italian like they speak English!

We ate our evening dinners at a neighborhood restaurant a few blocks walking distance behind the hotel, called "El Patio", which was recommended by Giovanna. The restaurant is as the name implies, a long covered patio along the entrance to the inside main restaurant, where one can eat too if you like. As the weather was mild, we ate under the patio section both nights, which proved to be delightful. The restaurant personnel speak very limited English, so you get a chance right away to try out your Italian. As an alternative restaurant, there is a less charming, but adequate eatery diagonally across from the Hotel that is larger, both indoors and outdoors, serving mainly pizzas and pastas with good beer on tap!

During our full day at the hotel we took an easy bus ride up to the town of Treviso which has a medevial section to it. We asked some "locals" for a typical restaurant where "they" would eat, and she gave us the name of "Toni de Spin" restaurant in the old section. Ate lunch there. Very charming and certainly a local hangout. If you do not act like a "hard to please tourist" and savor the experience of eating local dishes, you'll enjoy the place much more! To counteract any resistence you might feel, talk with the owner/ staff and tell them how charming is their restaurant!!

Although one can take the bus right outside the Hotel (much less cost) into Venice the day of your departure to board the ship, we opted to take a cab instead (40 Euros). The hotel can make the taxi arrangement for you, as well as explain the bus route to the ship if you decide on that mode of transportation.

The rooms have heavy curtains you can close to make it very dark so one can easily nap during the day. A Room toward the inside Park Setting of the hotel may prove to be less noisy and better for sleeping. The breakfast buffet/room is quite nice and a good way to start your day. The small, very stylish Hotel bar room can be utilized by your party to finish off the evening. The outdoor sitting area with Umbrellas can be used in the morning and evening too as a place for your group to gather.
