When you stop off in the countryside at a pub you still don't know quite what you are likely to expect despite are supposedly enlightened foodie times.
The Bickford Arms looked nice from the outside so we stopped off. It was also nice insidee with slate floors etc. The young lady who served us was also very helpful.
Unfortunately the food was not up to much. The salad was limp and brown around the edeges and the chicken was overcooked and dry.
