We had been told about this ancient spa during our ski week in Courmayeur and had decided to try it out one evening after a day on the slopes. We paid 34 euros each for an evening pass (after 6pm) and since the spa closes at 11pm on Thursdays- Saturdays we thought that 5 hours would be more than enough. How wrong we were! What an incredible place! Words simply cannot describe the sheer number of water, steam and heat facilities at this attraction. The maze like layout of the rooms can be a little daunting at first and it was easy to get lost until we got our bearings. (Make sure you study the map so that you don't miss any of the rooms). The outdoor pools where you can watch the stars whilst steam rises around you are delightful. In addition, the experience of leaping out to roll in the snow before plunging back into the warm waters is really something to try. There are also a variety of sauna sheds outside where you can gaze out onto the snowy environment. The underwater music floatation pool is quite magical and a wonderfully relaxing way to unwind after a days ski-ing. Another lovely surprise was the healthy buffet which is included in your entry fee. You can go back as many times as you wish to enjoy an array of healthy drinks and snacks. We really did find that our 5 hours just flew by and we wished that we'd planned a whole day to enjoy this unique spa. The website for this attraction really doesn't do it justice. Make sure you visit when there is snow on the ground and book your visit as it can get incredibly busy. I cant rate this place highly enough and am itching to visit again one day. I hope that you enjoy it as much as we did.
