We visited this restaurant as we fancied a Chinese and the place looked really nice.
We were greeted and warmly welcomed by the friendly staff and sat at a table very quickly, the decor was good and spotlessly clean. Our drinks order and food order was also taken quickly and politely.
We had ordered a set meal for 3 and this looked on the menu to be very good value for money, except it didn't have a soup option which was a little strange as the other set meals did, this we quickly sorted by ordering the soup as an extra. The starters came out within a reasonable timescale but these were only just warm. As the place was not that busy it again was a little strange.
Then main course time this is when it really took a turn for the worse, the first couple of plates of food arrived and that is how it stayed for ten whole mins and by the time the rest of our food arrived the first lot was cold. When I quizzed the staff about the time it was taking we were advised there was only one chef on !
I completely agree with other reviewers that the portion sizes are on the small side and it is the first time every I have had a set meal and seen it all polished off and felt more was required.
The food was cooked ok but clearly not by a chef with any form of Chinese training as it was very very bland and tasteless and no sign of any soy sauce on the tables to season it up a bit.
This place has clearly has missed the point and as it not owned by a Chinese family cannot be classed as a Chinese Restaurant.
