On our wedding anniversary we discovered that the Italian Restaurant in the hotel had not opened for the season yet - but - Mr Eddie spoke to the management and they opened the restaurant up for us - how about that for service.

We had a lovely time, a starter that was not on the menu, to perfection flambé steaks at the table cooked by Mr Eddie - and a special 'Happy Anniversary' cake made just for us.

So a monumental thank you to Mr Eddie and to the management of the hotel for making this a very special evening for us - thank you

Room tip: Italian Restaurant with Mr Eddie well worth a visit

stayed from the 15th -25th March and had a lovely stay i upgraded our room to a junior suite with see view and was the best money i could have spent lovely large room massive bed and views that made me glad to be alive every morning stunning views to the sea in one direction and gorgeous views of the mountains in the other room 2832.
The hotel has free wifi even in the bedrooms which can be tempermental sometimes but is great as most hotels only have free wifi in the lobby area. This hotel could do with a bit of updating to be 5 star in UK terms but it is a lovely hotel. The food was great with plenty of choice and the a la carte restaraunts make a refreshing change. the gym has good equipment and you can have a good workout, the spa area is also nice with heated jacuzzi steam and saunas although the female steam room was not working whilst we were there. the pool area and views to the sea are gorgeous and perfect for sunbathing if thats your thing.
The downside is probably its location which is a bit out of the way and means at night your stuck to the hotel for entertainment which is not bad but it would be nice after dinner to be able to walk out of the hotel and walk down a strip of shops and bars to while away your time. We hired a Car for a few days and this really opened up cyprus which you must explore whilst your there and driving around is extremely easy.
there are plenty of delegates who attend this hotel due to its size but it didn't detract from my stay at all. During our stay in March we had a couple of days rain the first couple of days and then sunshine but not to hot to be uncomfortable
All in All i recommend the coral beach hotel The Staff are pleasant and George the porter is a lovely man. You must upgrade to a Sea view to fully enjoy this hotel watching the sunset from your balcony is the best waking up in the morning to the Sea is the best we had room 2832 get it if you can

Room tip: Room 2832 Sea view and Mountain View glorious

The Health Spa at the Coral Beach Hotel has slowly gone downhill We have been members for many years, and have seen this happen. The steam room hardly works and is always being repaired. lights are turned off and uninviting to members and Hotel Guests
Screaming children unsupervised and jumping and bombing guests in the indoor pool.overcrowded Jacuzzi and shouting no proper signs for Ladies and Gents , blocked Drains and smells ,and slippery floors in places .Not a relaxing experience .

I don't want to bore you with scripts of reading so I'll keep this brief and to the point. I'm not a complainer and the last paragraph after my moans and groans will offer a lifeline away from the resort disparity

Very disappointed and disheartened with this 'resort'....5 Stars? Where did they come from?

1) food was horrific - when asked at reception was told the real chefs don't arrive from Athens until May?
2) room was cramped and decor poor and tired
3) room air-con was still on heat despite the south facing room and an average day temperature of 25 and night time of 16 - asked at reception, was told the cold air doesn't go on until late April...."I stated it was very warm", replied nothing I can do about that.
4) in order to relieve the night time heat we chose to have the balcony doors open and we're of course eaten alive every night. My children looked like they had chicken pox!
5) contingency of Eastern Europeans on what I believe to be company seminars partying until day light, right under our balcony.....doors shut! But they could still be heard - children up and awake!
6) closed doors, stripped duvets of the sheets and made the best of it but the maid chose to replace the duvet every day? Didn't matter where I placed the note or hid the duvets! Annoying
7) when the partying stopped, the heat was just about bearable nothing could be heard but the drip, drip, drip of a busted pipe right outside our door......then the periodic smack of the ceiling falling down. This only lasted 3 days!
8) intermittent water pressure from the shower
9) concept of all inclusive is still very dated, probably late 90's....cheap as possible draft beer, limited choice, pay for everything they can get you to pay for.

Really I could go on.....now I don't mind partying and people having fun, but despite a polite 2am request to reception over 2 nights nothing was done. I only asked that they moved away from the area they was having in. Did I mention the food? Horrific, I mean really dreadful.

We tried breakfast twice, lunch twice and dinner twice. After that, we are out, drank out and found our own entertainment.

This "resort" is good to be used as a base and maybe a breakfast pancake. Apart from that, head out....we found some really fantastic places

The Last Castle Restaurant - impressive!
Yiannis Restaurant - excellent
Frog & Toad (Bar) - really good
Paphos Harbour
Paphos Zoo

To name but a few!

Dear Mark G,

Clearly from the above review of yours, we understand that some of your expectations of our hotel, had not been met.

We were very shocked to read your comments as most of the above are nowhere near to what our hotel provides to our guest and their holidays.

The hotel is rated as a five star due to its excellent quality in cuisine, staff and architecture.
We have recently underwent a huge hotel renovation in regards to the rooms and our grounds. We will disagree that it looks dated with poor interior. We have received excellent comments on all of the changes been made, leaving our hotel residents happy and satisfied.
To continue, our chefs and cuisine have won numerous prizes for their skills and cater for our guests with fine quality in all the dishes and always put extra care when guests have intolerance or allergies, making sure we prepare something according to their needs.

In regards to the noise, we have apologized but they were also guests at our hotel, that had booked a business conference. We understand they were loud at times but overall they were either in a conference or had excursions and meetings away from the hotel. We did not ignore your complaints and kindly asked you to locate you to a private wing but as per your reply, you did not wish to.

Despite the above feedback, should you decide to visit again in the future, we will be happy to welcome you at our hotel.

Kind Regards,

Coral Beach Hotel & Resort Management

Just returned from this lovely hotel. Had a very chilled break !
The staff were polite and very helpful. The room, we had a seaview, was large and cleaned every day to a high standard. food was plentiful and a good quality.
The drink waiters always kept you topped up.
Where these people say its a tired hotel, is beyond me.
Well worth a vist.

Room tip: Front facing seaview
