“Truly Excellent”
Reviewed July 16, 2012

My husband and I stayed for 10 days at the Faro Suites from the end of June and enjoyed every single minute.

The accommodation is of an excellent standard and extremely well maintained. We stayed in suite 7 which has a well equipped kitchen, lounge area and a separate bedroom and en-suite bathroom. The furnishings are excellent and what you see on the website is what you get. Tasso couldn't have been more friendly and helpful and was a joy to chat to over breakfast.

The apartments are only a 5 minute walk from the harbour where the bars and tavernas are plentiful. We enjoyed eating in Tselentis which was in the square, but to be honest, I don't think you would be disappointed at any of the restuarants.

We loved relaxing by the pool area which was particularly quiet for most of the day as the majority of people headed off to nearby beaches. It was very like having our own private villa at times and we will definitely return.

If you do enjoy beaches, try Jerusalem beach which has the most amazingly comfortable inflatable sunbeds. It's about a 15 minute drive from Fiscardo. We hired a car at the airport as we found the hire charges to be almost the same as a return transfer.

All in all, this was one of the best holidays we've had and we can't wait to return.

Room Tip: Suites 5, 6 and 7 would be my personal choice

i stayed here for 1 week at the begining of july, the hotel has only 7 rooms the 2 lower rooms have no balconies and therefore would recommend paying the extra for the rooms 3 4 5 6 and 7,we stayed in room 6 which was the top one with 2 balconies and fantastic views,i think the largest room would be room 7 which has a seperate living area. there is a small pool with fantasic sun loungers on to relax, the furnishings in the rooms are excellent and the balcony furnishings were good aswell not the usual plastic table and plastic chairs, you have a kitchinette in the room which is fully equiped, my only negative which is struggling to find one is the shower cubicle is a bit on the small size and the lighting is a bit dark in the bathroom, but hey i am being really picky here.a big big big plus is when you meet the guy who will look after you while your here his name is tassos and i cant thank him enough for all his help and advice and the chats we had at breakfast always had time for everyone with a laugh and a smile on his face.
the location is also good 5 mins from the marina and 10-15 mins from foki beach easy walking.
we ate at most of the restaurants in town i cant really say one was better than any other all equally perfectly exceptable more expensive than the rest of the island but the clientelle in the town is probably different from the rest of the island some of the boats are huge,
ive stayed at a lot of places on the island and i have to say i absolutely loved fiskardo and faros suites the best we just felt comfortable straight away, if you want sandy beaches plenty of sunbeds and loungers on your beaches dont come here, if you want natural beauty and a little bit upmarket this is the place to come.
the traveller numbers are a bit down this year but i think this will be reflected everywhere.
if you go to fiskardo and are staying at the faros suites you will not be disapointed

Room Tip: the higher rooms are more expensive but worth it

I recently travelled to Greece on my own and spent 5 days at the Faros suites.
The location was perfect and in walking distance to the centre of Fiscardo and some great beaches. Tasos you are the best! He was so hopeful in arranging anything that I needed.
I could not have asked for a better place to stay - 16 countries later and this is one of the best places that I have ever stayed in!

We stayed for a week in June2012. This is a quality place. With only 7 rooms and family run, the service is personal. Tasos could not be more helpful and nothing was to much trouble, including carrying our suitcases up 3 flights of stairs, which means this property is not suitable for those with mobility problems. The property is situated in a quiet location, yet only a few minutes walk to the delightful harbour, which means you get the best of both worlds. The views are stunning. The property is furnished to a very high standard. Breakfast is delightful, in a charming garden location, and we were superbly entertained by Tasos, and our morning chats quickly became a tradition. An ideal location for a romantic break for a couple.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights last week and had a wonderful time. The hotel has a small number of rooms, is in a great location (just a few minutes walk to beaches and the centre of Fiscardo) and is full of character with a very romantic feeling.

Tes was a great host - really attentive and a pleasure to get to know. Nothing was too much trouble.

Our room was lovely; great views of the sea from our balcony, good size bed, full of furniture with lots of character and good sized bathroom. Although we didnt get to spend any time by the pool it looked very tempting and calm. The only thing I would say is that the pool is more of a dipping pool rather than a pool to swim in.

A great little place to stay ith fantastic service!

We spent 2 days in suite nr. 4. Beautiful room with partial sea view, nice balcony, lovely furnished, with a kitchenette, WIFI, AC. Coffee, tea and water available graciously. A few minutes walk to the tavernas, the port and the beaches. Tassi was almost too friendly! Room was near the road, but we experienced only one disturbance during the night.

Room Tip: There are rooms near the pool and some are on the local street

I stayed at the Faros suites with my boyfriend and we had the most wonderful time. It's a beautifully furnished hotel, with a comfortable room, lovely little swimming pool and gorgeous seating area to enjoy a tasty breakfast alfresco. The owners were incredibly friendly, often joining us for a chat and nothing was too much trouble. It's just a couple of minutes walk to the seafront of Fiscardo with its restaurants dotted around the marina where we enjoyed dinner after dinner staring in awe at the millionnaires' yachts. It's not the cheapest place to eat out but gosh is it one of the most picturesque. All in all one of my favourite ever holidays, very much helped by the warmth and friendliness of this lovely little hotel.
