Just returned from an amazing time at this hotel. Staff, views, food, drinks, rooms were all perfect. Very good hotel gym and the pools were beautiful. Everything was immaculate. We had a sea view room which had a lovely location between the main hotel and the pool. (Room 117). The staff were all so helpful and friendly, without being OTT. Cant fault anything! Cannot wait to go back.

a truly stunning chic but friendly hotel. beautiful decor, lovely gardens , panoramic views from anywhere in the hotel.very relaxing and chilled atmosphere from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave .
this hotel in the very north of Kefalonia is a real gem.
The staff at the hotel are very friendly, very professional, attentive but not intrusive.
the rooms are modern contemporary styling, comfortable and exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated. the gardens and terraces are perfectly maintained.
The hotel a is small village style hotel spreading over the top of a rocky cliff edge with amazing views from the pool terraces and small private nooks and crannies dotted around the gardens. the rooms are with small buildings amongst the garden and most have sea views. the main reception and breakfast/ restaurant areas and bar are in a big villa style building. there are also sites that have private pools and a villa for bigger parties.
Breakfast was splendid taken on the balcony of the main building. lunch and dinner can be taken at the beautiful pool restaurant. the choice and quality of the food is excellent. many BBQ, Greek and fish nights are held at the pool terrace and the main building restaurant . service was excellent through out the hotel.
As the hotel is surrounded by cliffs and rocks and is set on many different levels there are steps and ramps for the less able. the small quiet white pebble beach is a short walk down hill and many small coves can be accessed through a charming woodland walk.
The picturesque yatching harbour of Fiskardo is a short walk from the hotel (10 to 15 minutes) the hotel does run a shuttle service to the harbour.
the hotel is approximately 1-1/2 hours drive from the airport but worth every minute of the drive.

Room Tip: a great holiday location for friends, couples, solo's . A hire care is a great way to get to and...

Absolutely beautiful hotel in an equally beautiful location. Incredibly helpful and friendly staff (nothing is too much to ask). Rooms are lovely with very comfortable beds and a good selection of pillows. Bathroom is stocked daily with luscious Korres products. Lots of little nooks all around the hotel grounds so you can choose your own private spot or sit around the communal infinity pool and soak in the stunning views. If you are feeling active there is a good size air-conditioned gym, a tennis court and a squash court or if you want to relax you can have a massage or treatment in the spa. If you fancy a day out then you can book a chauffeur driven tour or jump on one of the speedboat excursions to the surrounding islands or even charter the speedboat privately for an extra special day.

We were exhausted when we arrived at emelisse and were delighted to be greeted by lovely people with cucumber water and a snack. The place is elegant with little surprises overlooking the water. Nothing is too much trouble, indeed 3 people mended our tv. You can play tennis, squash, eat wonderful artichoke pie and sleep in comfy beds. The best thing is the staff though. Really helpful and friendly, we will be back

The Emelisse offers an excellent environment for a relaxing vacation. The surroundings as well as the view are amazing. The hotel is only a short walk from the village of Fiscardo. Hotel staff are very polite and always available. The hotel restaurants are also really nice serving mediterrenean food.

I absolutely loved this hotel. I was here on a Hellenic Healthy Holidays fitness break (which was also superb) but could imagine coming here for a more sybaritic break as well.

The staff are truly lovely - friendly and warm - you feel more like a valued family member than a paying guest. Reception is a desk tucked away in a corner, so it feels very relaxed.
Accommodation is in a series of blocks - some of the rooms are a little on the small side but they're spotless and it's great to see Korres excellent bath products in the bathrooms (note - very few rooms have baths, it's all showers).

Everything is hugely comfortable yet there's a quirky, playful style about it. I loved that you can either be 'one of the crowd', hanging out by the main pool or on the sofas in the main building, or hide away in any one of the many hidden terraces.
There's a great sunbathing (or wild swimming) spot down on the rocks (with full body beanbags) but equally a gorgeous sandy cove is just a five minute stroll away.

Excellent facilities too - tennis court, squash court, table football, table tennis, snooker (or is it billiards? Never know the difference) table, as well as a well-equipped gym. You can borrow bikes free of charge and there's also a courtesy bus to ferry you back and forth from nearby Fiskardo (though it's only a short walk).

The spa is lovely and I had superb deep therapeutic massages from both Sotiris and Bessie. Other treatments and the usual facials, wraps, rituals, mani-pedis are available (Elemis is the house brand - shame they couldn't have continued the Korres theme).

We had our own chef on the retreat so I didn't get to try the usual hotel menu but it looked and smelled pretty good! Our chef, Alan, is guest chefing for the next few months and would advise going while he's on duty - his cooking is divine.

Truly, there's very little to gripe about here. I'm stunned at the negative review that said the hotel was 'cold' - truly, it's one of the most warm-hearted places I've ever stayed in. The owner is very much hands-on (he and his dog accompanied us on our walks) and ensures that everyone is superbly well looked after.

The weather was a little uncertain when I visited (April) which was a shame and I'd love to come back and take full advantage of the glorious setting in full sun.

They have a wood-fired oven outside the main building and also show movies outdoors. There's even a really sweet outdoor chapel should you feel the urge to get married! Actually, it would be a truly lovely venue for a wedding.

Great walks all around (hiking maps available from reception).
Really can't praise it highly enough.

Room Tip: Some rooms share private pools - there's a block which would make a great block booking for seve...
