we had incredible time during our family vacation between 8-15 of July and Odysseus was a big part of it.it is exactly as you see in the pictures and as other say in the reviews but I would add that the breakfast was OK for me compared with some reviews. The hotel itself is in the middle of everything in the city but I recomand visiting some of the other island beaches as all has different flavors.
After all Odysseus worthed the money and effort and will be part of our memories for long time.
Thank you

Stayed in the Odysseus Hotel from July, 14th through July, 19th. Booked a superior sea-view room and did not regret a single minute.

The view from the balcony was amazing (see pictures)! It is not even a balcony - it is a terrace with a sunbed, a table and two chairs. We spent hours in the evenings just sitting there and enjoying the Paleokastritsa bay view. The breeze from the sea, smooth jazz station listened via the internet (free wi-fi is available throughout the hotel with a very good coverage) and a glass of wine made our each day there!

The room is very modern, spacious and comfortable. I'd rate it as 5 stars, way beyond expectations. Breakfasts are plentiful and tasty; served on the terrace with the same beautiful view to the bay. Staff is extremply friendly and helpful.

Just across the street there is a couple of very good restaurants. Special praise goes to Horizon - a family run taverna with the real greek feel!

The beach we went to - Acrotiri - seems to be the best one in the area with the free sea water pool. Pretty much enjoyed the lanscape and the atmosphere there.

Recommend the Odysseus Hotel to everyone who dreams about a perfect holiday in a perfect place! Truly a gem!

Bravo, Odysseus!!

Room Tip: Superior double sea-view are perfect! Really worth it!

We had high expectation for this holiday, and as you know these are often dissapoiting. Our impression and feelings exceeded expectations. We had lovely room with beautiful view of the Paleokastritsa bays.
Firstly of all, Paleokastrista is one of the best situated sea resort in all Greece. Secondly, Odysseus has one of the best location in that resort (short distance to bay and in short distance to main beach in resort and Theotoku Monastery) for pleasent walks and swimming. Thirdly, Paleokastrista has the best climate, heat is soothed by delicate breeze, and the sea water isn't too hot to make sunbathing cool down. Fourth, winding roads in resort gives you always new landscapes, a lot of small markets with necessities stuff and gifts. Fifth, in Paleo (and all island) is a lot of tawerns with delicious greek salads, pita souvlaki, mousaka and more, and of course pleasent taste lokal beer Mythos 5%. Furtherly, boats rental and trips, clifs, Paradise beach, La Grotta bar, Angelokastro, Lakones town above, a lot of green...
Back to the hotel. Hotel seems to be general refreshed. Every day room cleaing, fresh towels, twice a week bedclothes changed. Restaurant big enough, with superb terrace. Food: english breakfasts - similar daily, but and after fatigue of the previous day sightseeing you can eat a lot with taste; dinners - late evening (8-9.30pm), very good time, beacuse You can be easily back at time from trips around island, delicious in taste, mostly greek cuisine, sometimes with international. Staff is very helpful, polite and smiling (mainly it's one big greek family). Organization of work worthy the 5 stars, but it's better, here nobody is a "soldier" or "prisoner". Perfect coctails, sometimes in quality hotels barmans cannot make so good classic drinks, for example Pinacolada is brilliant. All advices gives you reception, good to rent a car here with extra prices (100euro=4 days, while at resort is 110euro=2days). Hotel has own market, very well supplied with one of the lowest prices in resort, for example, a lot of wines, oil olives, medicines, sweets, cd with greek music, calendars and much more gifts. In the middle of day You can eat at pool bar, good prices for good quality fast foods. The pool on photos seems to be very small, but live it was big enough to cool down after sunbathing - sun all day till late evening. Gardens around hotel ordered and colorful. Hotel architecture suits to the whole island motives. I could say more, but when description is too long - nobody read.

Hotel very impressive - great swimming pool, views, facilities, bar and customer service. Breakfast good. Well equipped for the hot weather. Not a cheap place - but good value, and a relaxing place to stay.

Snack bar (bit steep) by the pool. General shop (well-priced) just downstairs from hotel. Dinner pretty good (buffet), but worth exploring Paleokastritsa for something even better.

Not quite the five star review - e.g. could have more interesting atmosphere, some of it could be prettier - but a very good option for Paleokastritsa.

Room Tip: Choose a room facing the sea!

Arrived back after one of our very best holidays ever. 11 days in one of the most beautiful places in Europe. Requested a balcony room on the booking form and was not disappointed. The views were unbelievable, was a dream to wake up those views every morning - had to take a photo of it to remind us of what we are missing back her in England. Clean and practical room containing small bath, shower and fridge - perfect to keep your drinks and milk chilled.

The hotel staff were amazing, not a single thing to complain about - they all work so very hard and are so pleasant to you. In fact one girl in particular seems to run around all day long to please you!!! Nothing too much for them, they even translated a greek recipe for me so I could take the herbs home with me.

I had had my concerns after reading the reviews before we left home about the lateness of the dinner being served and the fact i'm vegetarian and also that you were sat with another couple not of your choice - but we shouldn't have worried. The food was amazing, plenty of opportunity to try the local greek cuisine and plenty of it - that's if Chris and Nigel don't get to the pudding trolly before you! Plenty of choices of salad and vegetable dishes to keep me happy and full!

Our fellow dinner guests made our holiday that little bit extra special, HI there Julie & Nigel or should I say "Yvonne and Stuart"! Thanks guys it was great to share our holiday and experience in Corfu. We even named a mountain walk after you.

We last visited the resort 7 years ago and enjoyed it then , but family and friends told us not to go back as we would be disappointed......far from it , it was as good as we remembered and if not better with a better if not perfect hotel and a much quieter resort than last time. late June is a much quieter time than September???

If you want a holiday to chill out and relax this is the one for you, if you want excitement and all night entertainment go to a different resort. The walks, beaches , villages and mountains and people here are all you need to chill and relax. cant wait to return again and definitely to this hotel.

We had a late transfer back on our last day ( 23.30hrs) and had to be out of our room by 11am, but don't worry about that as the hotel kindly puts a room away for this, were bags can be stored and a courtesy room to shower and change after a last day on the beach before you get picked up for your transfer

Things to remember to bring with you, ....walking shoes for mountain walks, beach shoes for swimmimg in sea as very pebbly in water, books to read by the pool( but the hotel has plenty of English books if you are watching your luggage weight limit?) a kettle and tea-bags for your cuppas in your room , but there is a small supermarket under the hotel that stocks most essentials

. And the rest will just happen , when the beauty of Paleokastritsa and their people take over you and give you a holiday of a lifetime!

Thanks guys so much and look forward to seeing you again soon!

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony room if you want to see the amazing views or alternatively their are lovely rooms...

We arrived back today and I couldn't wait to give our opinion on the Odysseus hotel in Paleokastritsa.
The flight with Thomas Cook went off on time and a bonus came with the transfer as there was only 6 of us and went straight to resort..
Check in went very smoothly and we were directed to our room 310. The room was very large with double and single bed.. flat screen tv and a lovely smell from the fresh flowers in the room. A good size bathroom with a modern shower, spouts coming out from everywhere and a drench .. I really want one of those at home now.. Ha ha..
But it was when I opened the patio doors and saw the amazing view over the bay that I knew we had chosen the right hotel for us and I recommend you pay the little extra for the sea view. It was stunning.. A nice size balcony that had the full sunshine from sunrise till later but was shady later on after the heat of the day.
The food was good, very Greek which is what we hoped as being on half board we did wonder if it would be more international and not traditional.
Your dinner table is allocated for you and you are seated for the duration of your holiday with another couple.. Our dinner mates were Deborah and Chris.. Hi guys.. Hope your journey home was safe. Thanks again for your good company..
It was a totally chilled out holiday and one I would recommend wholeheartedly..
The stars of this review have got to be the staff.. They work from morning till night always with a cheery smile and nothing was too much trouble..
I can think of nothing negative to say about the hotel.
The resort was very laid back quite hilly so be prepared for a walk up and down hill.. Take shoes you can wear in the water as it is quite stoney.
Definitely take the walk up to the monastery. The views from up there were super.
