“Superb, relaxing and very welcoming”
Reviewed August 22, 2011

Our first hotel holiday as a family, always having been in villas before. Not let down at all. Views are superb; quiet; superb facilities; extremely helpful staff with engaging senses of humour; relaxing but with enough self-contained activities to keep all occupied (tennis, sailing, kayaking, gym and lounging). The island is relatively unspoilt and two days with a car is enough to see all you need. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Don't expect sand, though, as the whole of the east side of the island is either cliff or pebbled beaches - go to the west side for the sand: stunning!

We stayed in the main building at superior room on the top floor were the view was beautiful, the bathroom was huge and the room was really big and new. The private beach was nice although a bit dirty from the boats that were passing through that area. After 17.00 the sun was behind the mountain so you have to go early to enjoy the sun. The breakfast was very rich.

We are Australian born Lefkadian's and this was our first stay at Porto Galini. The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. Our room (family suite) was clean and well appointed. The location was unbeatable (close to Nidri) and the breakfast room was plentyful with local variety of foods. Well done Porto Galini!

This hotel is everything you need and more. Scenery is very beautiful if you have a view to the sea (it is worth to have!). Staff is friendly and polite. Except a woman in hotel mini market, she is very friendly only for male customers. Breakfast is excellent, there is a lot of different foods you can choose from. Nikiana is a very small place, so there is nothing else to see except this hotel. If you want to go somewhere else, you must take a taxi, local bus or hire a car. Walking is not so good idea because of the narrow road and the traffic. But still one of the best hotels I have ever stayed.

We hade a superior room in the main building and it was very good, stylish, clean and tidy, nothing to complain. I also saw one of the rooms in other buildings and that room was not as nice and very small. And one more thing, if you have your room in main building which is most far a way from the beach, you have to walk 160 steps from the beach to your room.

we spent a week in porto galini seaside resort & spa and we were really impressed by it.
our room was a deluxe double with sea view. the room was spacious with modern furnitures, safe-box, spacious bathroom.
the staff were polite and friendly and the breakfast had almost anything you could possibly wished for.
the only downsides were the view to the sea which was a little obstructed by trees and the ceiling of the breakfast room and the free internet which was very very laggy even on ethernet :(.
nevertheless we enjoyed our stay in porto galini and we recommend it to all people.

p.s. 1.we didnt find time to use the spa facilities so we cannot comment on that.
2. we rated 4 stars due to the problematic sea view and the laggy internet

We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights and we really enjoyed it.Our room was a maisonette with two bathrooms and that really helped us because we were 4 with our children. The view was great ,the private beach very good but rocky, the pools were very clean. There are so many good things to say for this place but i believe the best of all is that every body in this hotel was trying for the best. They really wanted to make you come again and again...The only suggestion to the management is ''don't leave the rooms to their destiny'',because there are some points that need to be fixed in time.Details make the difference!!!

We as a family with two small children spent a wonderfoul week at this resort. We had a superior room in the newest building. The room was spacious and had a very nice view. Air-con was silent and worked well. The bed was comfortable. Negative: Slippery floor in bathroom, bad tv and lack of privacy on the balcony.
The a la carte restaurant had good food and wine. We didnt try the buffet restaurant and was happy with not ordering the half-board.
The pools were clean and nice. The kids loved them, even though there were no water-slides etc. Be aware of slippery tiles around one of the pool-areas. The kids fell over like 20 times.
Big plus for free of charge watersportsequipment.
Even bigger plus for the kids club. Mrs Hara working there was a super lady!
We missed the opportunity of going for walks in the surrounding area. The road passing the hotel had hevy and crazy traffic and was no option for a stroll, especially not with kids.
We would recommend this resort for familys and couples. Party-people will be much better off anywhere else.
