If you like crystal clear, emerald color water and beaches that are intimate, then you will like this beach. It does have rocks not sand and that can be hard to get used to, but the water and the views make it all worth it. There are plenty of bars and tavernas that sit on top of the rocks above the beach; some of them are open only for dinner but there are plenty of places where you can hide from the mid-day sun, have some delicious food to eat and a cold beverage. You can also rent lounges ( 3 euros) and umbrellas (2 euros) on the beach. I would also recommend renting a boat from Emilio's and going to visit the beaches that are north of Barbati; so worth it!

The beach is not sandy, but with white pebbles and rocks. Kids can't play in some parts of the beach as there is no sand and sometimes rocks are painful for the feet. I recommend swimming shoes.

It's a lovely long beach and the waters are crystal clear. The beach is not sand but pebbles this can be hard on your feet when entering the water.
Nothing to dislike

Very nice beach with clear calm waters. Nice tavern with good food. Beach chairs are 5 euros, not that comfortable.

Perfect for a quiet family holiday. Plenty of places to stay. Perfect to use Barbati Beach as a base from which to explore the island. Highly Recommended for the quieter holiday.
