We were the first customers to experience the delights of the newly refurbished Marmari Cottage. It had been decorated in a modern style with well appointed bathrooms. The agents, Travel a la carte, could not have been more helpful in ironing out any problems and directing us to the places to see and the best restaurants and bars on the island. Mamari Cottage is well situated to a lovely beach and very close to the delightful village of Loggos but nowhere is far away on Paxos and that is the USP of this special island.
I have put in 3 stars for the studio as it is in need of some TLC. Kitchen and Bathroom need replacing and the whole place needs painting - properly. It has been done but very poorly and it's a shame as everthing else about our stay was great.
The gardens of the studio are brilliant - loads of space and some great views (although some of the trees and bushes need pruning as a lot of the views are obscured).
It's in a fab position - very close to 3 beaches - all of which are lovely.
It's a 15 minutes walk into Loggos (but longer on the return journey - alcohol, no lights, stones and unmade paths - not a good mixture!).
Loggos is fab - we loved it. Just small enought to be intimate but large enough to have everything there (apart from an ATM - a bus ride to Gaios for that!)
The bar - Roxi - at the end of the harbour is great - drink either harbour side or sea side - wonderful views and lovely people. 95% of the tavernas are great - all offering different things and all of the good ones based around the harbour.
