With no wi-fi, a slightly dodgy phone signal and a TV that has only a few Greek channels, you have to make your own fun at the Old Vineyard. Luckily, there's a cabinet full of books a lovely pool and some friendly cats to help while away the hours.
Getting to and from Loggos is very easy. As well as walking down the main road there are at least three old paths through the olive groves. These are lovely and shady, even on the hottest day. It's worth buying Ian Bleasdale's informative walking map to find these routes.
Others have mentioned the issue of water, and this is still a problem. Owner seems to switch to private supply - which splutters out of the taps in big, odorous brown drops - occasionally. Perhaps he's trying to save money by switching from metered water, but this is really NOT acceptable and TUI should have serious words...
This is also a great place for cat lovers. We started the week with one small tortie that seems to live on the patio. By the end of the week we were regularly feeding four - including a fabulously friendly black and white boy. (Please feed them if you stay here. A box of Friskies costs only a euro in the supermarket.)
To sum up, this is just the place for a digital detox - but if you're a plugged-in, wild party animal, then best stay somewhere else.

This is a typical greek property so you need to take this into account when thinking about the water and electric... Etc... We had such a restful break here. The bedroom was comfortable. The pool does need to be sorted out as the blue gunk that comes of the walls isn't great. Some time and a bit of money needs to be spent in the property. But it's a gem of a place to stay and I would return. It's a lovely area.

We had no hot water for the first 24 hours the sun beds were so frayed I fell through one had to go and buy one as the owner got two that were not fit for purpose Thompson reimbursed us 75 euros then two days later no water owner changed to a different system then again no water had to flush toilet with mop bucket with water from pool which by the way is not very filtered and has a three inch layer of sticky grease on the walls with insects stuck in it checked the bit where the chlorine tablets go and there was a dead lizard in there alfa cars and simply travel where excellent and tried as much as they could the owner really needs to invest some time and money then it would be lovely by way cats ok and we feed them daily if you have problems here just phone claret the rep she was marvellous and we got 60 euros compensation for time without water all said enjoyed holiday paxos and loggos lovely but not good hoping every day will you have water or hot water will the air con work as it also played up and a sticky pool

We have just returned from The Old Vineyard and had a lovely week. I can't understand the negative comments The bathroom had a shelf in the shower to put shampoo shower gel etc and an area by the shower for toiletries. THe kitchen had a full cooker, coffee maker and kettle. The property was not overlooked at all. Pool was cleaned and checked daily. We drove into Loggos and it took 2 mins. A great week and we would return

We choose this as it is traditional. Don't expect luxury as it's more like a Greek Home. They were fitting a new water main whilst we stayed, otherwise it might have been 5 stars. It is isolated, about 1.1Km from Loggos. I bought a map which helped us explore the trails through the Olive groves nearby. 3 stone beaches are a short walk & the pool is nice, and cleaned by the owner regularly if you like Greece and the Greeks, you will like this
