“Best in Kokkari”
Reviewed July 24, 2012

This charming restaurant is hidden down a little alley opposite the main church in a very quiet and peaceful location amidst an abundance of flowers and plants. The menu gives some very clever and tasty twists to classic Greek dishes with some very nice sauces, and be sure to ask for the daily specials which are freshly cooked. The staff are more than happy to help you out and explain each dish in detail. The service is very attentive, friendly and personal and the prices are very reasonable (especially the drinks!). This is definitely my favourite Greek restaurant!

“Shock”
Reviewed June 20, 2012

I was shocked by the story of my friends. They told me when they were there with the children for à real traditional greek meal they noticed immediately à strange smell in the alley and when they started their meal my friend got à shock because she found à cocroach in her food that made her throwup. They left immediately and said they would never go back there again.

“Exceptional.”
Reviewed May 27, 2012

Great atmosphere and location,an imaginative menu and excellent service. While a lot of the restaurants in Kokkari feel like tourist traps, the Alkioni manages to avoid the conveyor belt approach by offering a much less generic menu, including many authentic daily specials, served in a relaxed and friendly manner. Most important though, the food was delicious, chicken cooked with okra, meatballs with tomato and cumin and roast stuffed aubergine.Wonderful.

“Best meals of the holiday”
Reviewed September 4, 2011

Saw the other review of this restaurant but didnt find it till week 2 of the hol, it is down a sidestreet dead opposite the church and bus stop, if you didnt know it was there you would walk by it. anyway, extensive menu, with lots of daily specials which were delicious and different to the usual greek menu. service was good, and prices werent much different to other restaurants and the location made it a little more relaxed and intimate, you felt like you were out for a special meal. we ate twice here and wished we had found it sooner. would say definately go andtry it for yourself.

“A hiddern treasure”
Reviewed August 13, 2011

Down the side street next to the Beer Tavern a well hidden little gem.
Traditional Greek and Samian food that you won't find anywhere else in Kokkari.
Try the feta in honey, one of the stuffed flat breads or one of the daily specials .
The staff couldn't be more help full, giving suggestion's and recommendation's.
