Having booked a week at this hotel solely based upon the feedback from TripAdvisor I am pleased to report that the hotel exceeded our expectations, beginning from the moment we were collected from the Airport. I will not go into much more detail other than to award this hotel 5 starts out of 5 since describing our experience would just be a repetition of all the superlatives used in other posts describing the TBH.

There is a post referring to the quality of the air conditioning in the rooms however in the room we occupied the air conditioning worked very well. Another post comments that the hotel was expensive but in my opinion, taking into consideration other hotels I have visited and the quality of food on offer I found the hotel to be good value for money. A pint of draught beer was 3 Euros, half a litre of local white wine was 4.50 Euros and a main course was priced between 6 to 12 Euros.

If you visit this hotel be sure to try the Moussaka and ensure you pay a visit to the wonderful family dog, Rocco.

We have just returned from a wonderful week staying at the trapezaki bay hotel in Kefalonia.

All the previous reviews are accurate and are not exaggerated.

the facts:

-Throughout the week every single member of staff was friendly efficient and helfpul.
-The room was lovely and spotless with a nice balcony.
-The restaurant serves lovely food and wine outside on the terrasse.
-The pool is great too and is not over crowded. The hotel is in a lovely setting at the top of a hill with great views.

I could go on and on....

We would definitely go back as we had a fantastic, relaxing holiday.

Spent a wonderful week at the TBH, between 31/7 - 07/08... All of the reviews on here were right! It was a most relaxing week, from start to finish.. Niko and Sophia, and the staff were all incredibly helpful, and friendly, without intruding too much. The setting of the hotel is superb, very tranquil, with great views across the bay toward Zakynthos...and the room we had, on the corner had 2 balconies, one with views to the mountains, the other across the bay! The terrace restaurant at the hotel was so good we ate there every evening!! Beautiful food, and setting beneath the star lit sky!
Definately hire a car for a day or two, the island is beautiful, and easy to see over a couple of days.... I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a 1st class, relaxing break, in wonderful surroundings, with great staff....nothing is too much trouble. We will definately be returning, like must of the other guests we spoke too!
Thanks for a lovely holiday, Ben and Julie.

I am reminded of the film Field of Dreams. “Is this Heaven”? “No..... it’s Trapezaki Bay Hotel”.

We spent a lovely week in this hotel. Its main selling point to us at the time is that no children are allowed which makes for a very enjoyable, peaceful holiday. In fact not surrounded by children allows you to relax and somehow the days feel a lot longer! So a week here felt like 2 weeks!

The hotel is spotless, the food is lovely (although I would like to see larger portions of vegetables and rice) the views are stunning and the hosts and staff are very pleasant.

Now I have a few tiny niggles- firstly I did not like the twin beds, although very comfortable to sleep in, it is not very romantic!

On the rare days we ate out we returned to the hotel at 11pm to find the pool bar had closed (Normal closing time is 1am) and thus we could not enjoy a night cap.

If you don’t know something then ask! I found out a lot of information from guests regarding hiring a driver and mats for the beach. I wondered why we were never told of this (as were some other guests) but I am putting it down to the fact that the hosts just want you to relax rather than bombard you with information.

Have no fear ladies always plenty of sun beds. I did observe that if one fancied going topless guests turned the sun bed away from the pool area to have some privacy and I considered this to be an excellent idea!

This is an expensive hotel but worth it in many respects. You are guaranteed a very peaceful holiday, you will be welcomed with open arms and you will eat well. The garlic pasta served at lunch time is to die for! We would have booked up for next year prior to our departure but due to work we are not sure of holidays etc. We will be back next year and will look forward to hearing Nikos wonderful entertaining stories again. And one last thing if you are a dog lover, then ask if you can take TBH dog for a walk.

• For those who do not want to hire a care TBH do trips on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

From the moment we first contacted this hotel to book to the moment we left after a fantastic honeymoon Nikos, Sophia and all the team at Trapezaki were perfect.

Despite a late arrival ( 1 in the morning) we were greeted at the airport by George in a car bedecked with flowers and taken to the hotel where Nikos & Sophia (the owners) were waiting outside to greet us. After hugs and kisses like long lost friends they took us and our luggage to the Dolphin Room and said have breakfast whenever you want in the morning. The room was great but we didn't appreciate the wonderful views until the morning.

We could write a novel about our wonderful experience but great views, immaculately clean, fantastic staff, dinner on the terrace, a pool which was mostly empty, uncrowded and with plenty of sunbeds only hints at the spendour on offer here.
Nothing, absolutely nothing was too much trouble and when we left we had tears in our eyes to say au revoir to such wonderful hosts who made us so welcome in their home. Au revoir and not goodbye because like almost all the guests staying there we will return.

We returned from the TBH on 15 July 2008 and can honestly say it was the most relaxing and peaceful holiday we have ever had. When we arrived we were met at the airport by the Hotel's rep, who greeted us like long lost friends. We were escorted to the Hotel's minibus where we were given wipes to freshen up and a cold bottle of water for the journey to the hotel, which only took 15 minutes. When we arrived, Niko, the Hotel's owner was standing at a window waving to us - what a welcome! We have never been made to feel so at home in a hotel before. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The best bit about the holiday was that we got engaged and the fuss that Niko and Sofia, his wife, made of us was unbelievable. Down by the pool it was so peaceful, all you could hear were the crickets in the trees. If you want a totally peaceful, child-free, relaxing holiday then go to the TBH - you will not be disappointed. Oh, and by the way - we are going back next year for our Honeymoon!
