It's well worth taking an hour or two to browse through the history of Thassos and of Greek civilisation in general. The museum is well set out chronologically starting off in the reception area with the wonderfully imposing Kouros. They have some good old black and white photos of early French led archaeological digs and excellent examples of pottery, jewelry and lifestyle under various occupations. After the museum have a potter around the old agora excavation next door. Good value at only 2 euros.
