Stayed here as a family of 3 for 2 weeks in July/August. We booked because it's a naturist hotel with easy access to some great beaches, but were impressed by the relaxing laid back atmosphere and the friendliness of the family owners.
The accommodation is simple and clean; we had an apartment with 2 rooms and a bathroom. The only disadvantage was having to go through our daughter's bedroom to use the loo at night, but hey when you're on holiday you don't expect everything to be perfect. We had a lovely terrace surrounded by plants for sitting out with a drink or to read etc.
The gardens and pool are lovely though the pool is quite small, but as the hotel wasn't crowded (they tend to be full in June and September like most naturist hotels) there was always plenty of room.
The service is friendly and pleasant;we enjoyed talking to the family and trying to practise our Greek. one thing that impressed us mightily is that we arrived during the taxi drivers' strike and they had already made arrangements for us, sending a driver, and they gave us a lift back to the airport when we left. the owners will also take you to nearby beaches though we often preferred to walk as we like walking.
The food is a real strength of this hotel. Breakfast is served at 8.30 until about 10, and is self service with fresh bread, eggs, cheeses, cold meat, gorgeous Greek yoghurt and honey, fruit and cakes. Coffee, tea and fruit juice are available. In the morning you are given the choices for the main course at dinner (always 2 at least). Dinner is seved from 7.30-9 pm at your table outside. Starters are a huge salad and bread to share, different each day, and accompanied by dips like tzatziki or taramasalta; mains are cooked to your morning order, and there is fruit, ice cream or a Greek dessert to finish. Wine and beer are served from the bar at reasonable prices: 5 euro for a small carafe of red or white for example. The main courses were authentic and well cooked; our favourites were fish in the oven, moussaka, and the chicken, and we liked the souvlaki on barbeque night. In 14 days we never repeated a menu which was great, and we liked everything we were given!
We also liked Pochi the hotel dog who thinks she's the receptionist (she is,actually) and mafia the cat. Pochi is the first to welcome you when you arrive and likes to be tickled!
This is not a formal 5 star hotel; it's family run, very laid back and very friendly and warm. We loved it and would certainly return. English naturists ought to consider it for their next Greek holiday! We were actually the only English people there during our 2 weeks though more were booked for the next weeks, but that never puts us off; we enjoyed the company of the German, Czech and Swiss guests and don't really like to holiday in "little Britain" anyway!
