I visit the O Vieira at least 3-4 times every year and this was my 6th year. There has not been one time that I have been disappointed, overcharged or had poor service. The staff have always been polite and if you get the chance to speak to the manager he is a nice man. It is not the Ritz by any means but the food is tastey and hot, the house wine is cheap and the beer is not expensive. They always have a good selection of desserts. I have been to the majority of restaurants in Guia and this one will always be in my top 3. Obrigada.

Top quality food in local friendly bar & restaurant. Great value and atmosphere. Worth seeking out. If you want sophisticated - look elsewhere. If you want no nonsense, tasty well cooked food in local bar - here you go.

We have been eating at this restaurant for many, many years and still think that it is one of the best and we have tried all of them in Guia. If you are a snob, don't go there but if you want to try real Portuguese food in a typical Portuguese restaurant, which is popular with the locals, this is for you. You walk through a dark, smoky bar, into cavernous, garishly decorated restaurant but, hey, you came for the food. Service is friendly, chicken, with or without piri-piri, is the star attraction.

Go through the bar and into the cafeteria. For that is what it is. A cafeteria without window, with a wonderful charming chef who is a master of barbecue chicken. This has been our secret place over the past ten years but it is time that more people get to know about this. Tasty chicken, crispy skin and an amazing piri piri sauce. Oh one more thing. The give you pints that have been in the freezer first and thge beer is Sagres. Can't be better!!!!!!

The taste is very good, but the chicken portion was small. And the bill was expensive. About € 23 per person with housewine. The people is nice.
