When we first tried to eat at Marmita we couldn't get in as it was so busy. The owner was so apologetic and nice to us we knew we had to try again. We were unable to book as were unsure when we were next coming into town. A few days later we were in town early evening so came to marmita to eat. We were not disappointed. We were immediately greeted and shown to a table in the beautiful courtyard under a tree covered with fairy lights, which came on had way through the meal. I imagine when the natural light is darker it looks even better. We shared squid for starter which was wonderfully crisp on the outside. For mains we had spicy meatballs which were delicately spiced and melted in the mouth. The swordfish ordered by my mum was again very tasty. My daughter had pasta napolitana where the sauce was made from fresh tomatoes and very delicious. The staff were very attentive and clearly enjoyed working here. One thing that was clear was the restaurant employed enough waiting staff to make sure that service levels do not drop. The complimentary puddings were also great...though I didn't get to try the chocolate cake as my daughter demolished it within seconds. I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu! Thank you for a wonderful meal!
