Food is excellent, staff are attentive and knowledgeable. If you want something not quite traditional but oh so traditional then Ergon is for you, stunningly good.

Visited for lunch within a couple of hours of arriving in Skiathos. Had a nice table for 2 outside so could watch the street scene nearby. Only wanted a light lunch so a very helpful waiter helped us choose and explained that all the food originated from different parts of Greece (paper table place mats give map showing where ingredients come from). We choose one of each of couscous salad, gruyere-type logs with delicious rose petal syrup, homemade taramasalata and some bread. All of this was absolutely scrummy and more than enough for lunch for 2 - it's all quite rich. We had a glass of house wine and a local beer - quite expensive by local standards but good. We planned on going back for dinner to try the lamb shank which looked delicious (someone else had ordered it) but as we'd had it elsewhere, when we returned and checked out the menu we couldn't decide on a dish (we didn't want salmon as it didn't feel like it belonged in a Greek local menu). We also bought a couple of jars of taramasalata and fava bean spread with truffle oil from the deli - to take home. So quite a posh, rich lunch but a very nice one indeed. Only negatives for us were the western music (we get enough of that at home!) and the cost of the wine - we had been really enjoying cheaper, lighter local wines by the carafe elsewhere and didn't really want to drink richer ones - just our preference.

Nice looking place , food was tasty, but they have this crazy system of serving everything together, my advice would be to order starters and then when you have finished them order mains , sad thing was it was our first meal, we had only been here 3 hours, and there was a piece of bone in the chicken wrap and it broke my wife's tooth, they didn't charge us for that part of the meal , but she spent the holiday in pain , check before eating

First things first, everything in here is Greek. EVERYTHING

The drinks are made a bit different as only greek wines, fruits & spirts are used. the cocktails take a while to be made so do order them first thing.

We had the Meze, all with the Greek twist and ate everything, the only item that was not univerally loved was the fava been and hog lardons, I adored it but the girls did not like it as the flavours were too strong.

This is in the same group as the Hotel Mandraki Village and you get a 10% discount if you are staying there. The hotel arranged for our booking and a birthday cake, which was amazing.
5 people with drinks and the cake was about 20 euros each.
