Review of Sakis’s Taverna

Sakis’s Taverna
Ranked #53 of 160 Restaurants in Skiathos Town
Certificate of Excellence
Price range: $12 - $21
Cuisines: Greek
Description: The tavern SAKIS began operation in 2006, with the taste of Mrs Vasiliki, which creates and cooks in the kitchen but with the personal care of her husband Mr. Saki, who is responsible to the grill. In particular we suggest you try the Greek traditional cooking our delicious dishes are prepared in the oven of our tavern. Moussaka, kleftiko, lamb, lemonato, pasta, sauce, stew. Do not miss the plate of mixed Greek flavors.

At Saki on Saki's Tarverna you get a great meal from the transnational Greek cuisine. Saki is a resident of Skiathos and is one of the few tavernas that has been open all year, so his tavern is obviously well-known and frequented by the locals Greeks on the island. Saki recommended us to taste the marinated fish with ouzo (it became the regular starter), we recommend his At Saki on Saki's Tarverna you get a great meal from the transnational Greek cuisine. Popped in here after a recommendation from a local.Very traditional Greek taverna,a little disorganised inside, not the staff, just the clutter.
The food was rustic, the taramasalata was the best I've had.
The calamari was also very good.We both had the souvlaki which was also tasty but simple.
The owner was attentive and the prices fair.
My opinion,give it a try.

If you want the real authentic Greek experience this for you. No touristy act here, just great food prepared by a man loving his vocation, you will sit mainly amongst Greeks. The Greeks love the value and freashness of the food, you will too. Make sure you start with Ouso Mezzie to get things going well

Given the reviews, I gave this place two chances. The food is simply average. The guy, who is probably the owner, is very friendly if you are Greek. Otherwise it's not easy to get his attention.
