Aha! What a lovely place this was, having visited this place on the recommendations from Trip Advisor. visited 4 times over the two week period in early June. Typical friendly greek service, food and atmosphere. Also the view of the planes coming into land is awesome! Thank you to all the wonderful staff there for helping to make our holiday in skiathos so memorable. Would highly recommend a visit.

This place must be the best plane watching taverna in the world - absolutely amazing - the airlines come into Skiathos airport from the right and almost feel within touching distance as they land 500 metres to the left (that's what it feels like - I didn't measure it!) Friday lunchtimes are the best days to view but Wednesdays have a few too. We started off at a table near the old windmill on the shore side with a couple of local beers but the weather wasn't the best so decamped to the inside across the road to eat. Here we met a very friendly local (ex Brit) who was meeting family and neighbours off the two flights due in so very helpfully tracked the planes on his phone and alerted us to their imminent arrivals so we could go outside to watch. Small world - his partner is Pam who runs the Final Steps restaurant - another place we had looked at! Anyway, we ordered stuffed vine leaves (homemade) which came with a delicious rice and pork filling (I think pork) - veggies beware!, whitebait and bread. A delicious mixture and just the right size for a light lunch for 2. The staff were amazingly friendly especially considering how hard they worked taking food and drinks back and forth from the kitchen across the road to the outside seating. Our ex-Brit acquaintance told us that this place is one of the few open all year round when fires are going inside - sounds wonderful and friendly. So good food, very friendly people and staff and stunning plane watching. Toilets a bit of an afterthought - take paper and sing loudly! Didn't spoil it at all though.

Was recommended by a couple staying at our hotel wasn't disappointed food was lovely and very reasonably priced 3.00 euros for tuna baguette and 11.00 for swordfish staff were very attentive and friendly and the views by the water stunning but the amazing bit was the planes coming in to land just above your head ,

As we only had lunchtime snacks here, it could not fully represent the restaurant, but on the two occasions we visitied we were delighted with the ambience, the service and the food. It may be at the end of the island runway but this only an additional atrtraction as the number of planes arriving or departing is more of an event than a distraction. On a Thursday (the main arrival day) people from all over the island come to see really close up views of the planes arriving low over the adjacent inlet.

It is a great place to visit on your last day after checkin while waiting for your flight as its only a 15 minutes walk from the airport.

This restaurant is so different from any I'v ever visited, different doesn't mean not good because it is good, it's very good in fact.
The location is lovely, sitting right on the waterside around an old windmill while your food is cooked over the road in the kitchen, the ladies Jackie & Cathy who looked after us do a wonderful job of juggling food, drinks & traffic all at the same time.
Drinks were always ice cold and the food was beautiful (grilled sardines were fantastic) chips are home made!!!
Definitely worth a visit, or two if your like us!!!!
