Came here with two friends I met on holiday and had pre-booked, which is essential as it's very popular. We arrived earlier than our reservation but they sat us down and took our orders quickly. A selection of starters, including great shrimp croquettes and lightly fried baby squid. I had shrimp and crayfish spaghetti with huge prawns and crayfish in their shells. My friends had lamb and a steak, all very well presented and cooked.
Only niggle we had was that we'd asked for a carafe of wine but was told we had to have bottles. Towards the end of our meal, we were just about to order another bottle and saw that the table next door (Greek customers) had a carafe, so we asked the young waitress for the same. We did get it but the head waitress seemed annoyed we had been given it. Apart from that, a good meal. Bill was 30€ each. ~Worth it for the view over the town beach and watching the sunset.

We visited this restaurant after it being recommended in other reviews and we we were glad that we did. The restaurant itself is quite small in size, however it has fantastic panoramic views of Skiathos harbour and it's well worth getting a table at the front of the restaurant to enjoy this if you can. The Amfiliki is mainly a seafood restaurant and the choice and quality was extremely good and reasonably priced. The restaurant is situated quite high up above Skiathos Town and is accessible through the small side streets, this in itself being an experience as you discover lots of other small tavernas and eating places which you never would have, the owners of these premises standing outside and inviting you in to try their food and drink.

After promising ourselves a visit for the last 3 years we eventually made it.
We were happy with our table & the prompt service of the wine. Our starters were lovely, Stuffed Peppers, Sanganaki. The main course, Tuna, was a huge disappointment. Totally over cooked & we were not advised that vegetables needed to be ordered separately.
If you were dining there that night (9 June) you will have been "entertained" by Skiathos's own "Jeremy Kyle show" guests !! Ok, I appreciate that the restaurant cannot be held responsible for it's guests, but the "Vile" way this particular couple were screaming at each other & upsetting the other diners, I personally would have asked them to leave.
We chose not to hang around for deserts or coffee to listen to more arguments & when paying our bill - €45 - staff told us that the "J Kyle couple" were JUST Marrried!!!
Recommend booking to get a sea front table & to check what fresh fish of the day is available.

Having been here numerous times on previous trips to Skiathos we felt that the standards had dropped this year.

Shame really as the location and views are hard to beat and perhaps they are relying on that to mask the drop in service levels and quality of food.

The pastitio and the stuffed peppers we had were passable but nothing special and the fish overpriced.

The bill took an eternity to arrive despite repeated requests and in the end we all got up to go and finally paid on the way out.

Real shame as this used to be one of our favourites but we won't be going back...

We have been to Amfiliki restaurant several times over the last two years' holidays in Skiathos - it is set in an amazing location overlooking the bay and out towards the islands. Traditional Greek food is served with plenty of fish dishes, depending on what has been caught that day. The food is cooked to a good standard but everyone's taste is different so I hesitate to say it is always excellent. We were four adults on holiday this year and we enjoyed the two meals we had at Amfiliki. The ambiance is great, with the quiet bubble of conversations over dinner. The staff are very friendly and courteous, and know what everything on the menu tastes like, so can make recommendations. Would we return for a meal here next year? Yes, but would also try other tavernas as indeed we did this year.
