My partner had e mailed Pam in advance to book a table for a special occasion ... We were seated on top deck with great views. Thank you Pam.. The food is very good quality and presented wonderfully, and Pam being a very lovely hostess, friendly but not in your face over powering, lovely lady. Everything seems to be home made, so the flavours are great. The fillet steak although looked small, was very filling, and taste was best we had ever. It's not a cheap restaurant, but for a decent meal it's well worth it. However, here's the negatives. The Prosecco at €30 a bottle was not cheap, and in our opinion not great for a prosecco, it was more acidic rather cava like actually, not as smooth as some prosecco. For the money you pay, the thin waxy napkins and very small, are those you'd find in a cafe, not a place where great food is served. Maybe a lovely lilac linen one to match the table cloths would be really nice, or even a good quality paper one.
The restaurant is situated high up on a hill with several steps to climb, ok for us, but less baled bodied people may struggle. It's also opposite the ferry terminal, and we were unfortunate enough to experience two ferries arrivals, which churned out disgusting diesel fumes rapidly, which everyone around us also said, not good. However , although this is no fault of the restaurant at all, it could spoil someone's evening if the smell turned you off. It didn't do a lot for me.
I think there are so many great restaurants to try in skiathos , it's good to try as many as we can. Wouldn't return to final step on this visit, but not to say we wouldn't in the future, as the food we couldn't fault. And at the end of the day, that's whats important to us. Just wanted to give overall view of our experience.
