Firstly I cannot understand why TUI have this dreadful place as an AI. I will give the positives first and that is the cleaner done a wonderful job with the room and the view is gorgeous, but, you could get the same view with pitching a tent on the nearby hillside and cooking yourself better meals on a primus stove. As my wife does not drink alcohol and enjoys regular cups of tea or coffee we were left there for a week only having tea at breakfast time or 1600/1800 and after that you had to pay, as well as for bottles of water and ice cream, or fresh orange. Apart from the barbecue the food was always cold and very basic, in the bathroom the shower head was held up on the wall by a piece of electrical wire grouted into the tiles, consequently the whole bathroom got showered apart from you, the beautiful view was complimented with 2 silly little plastic chairs, compared to either sides balcony's having decent wicker chairs, and although stated, there is no swimming pool or entertainment, and miles from any where, I am at a loss to see how this place managed to achieve 3 stars, and to finally make this the holiday from hell we were stuck at Samos airport through TUI's dreadful incompetence for another 32 hours with another 3 hour wait for baggage reclaim at Gatwick, that was £1,200 well wasted, TUI get your act together or your going under,

Certainly it's not the best with the only exception the employers at reception office and the cleaners.
there was no phone device in the room and the WiFi was very poor. Also at my balcony there wasn't chairs or any table and was a shame cause the view was gorgeous during all the daytime and especially at sunset. the smell was annoying. for my next job trip I might choose it again but for sure on a different room

stayed for 2 weeks at this relaxing hotel.
before i go on bear in mind the this visit was at the end of the season so we very quite.
the hotel it self is clean and tidy, the rooms are slightly dated but all the rooms have great views of the bay it has a nice bar/lobby area and two lovely balconies to enjoy your drinks on.
the restaurant is half inside and half out again looking over the bay
the food was nice and tasty a bit limited, 2 meat and 1 fish and 1 pasta meal for lunch and dinner
the staff was friendly and helpful NB no house keeping on Sundays
the location ideally situated 10 meters from the beach and around 1km from the town
bus travel on the island is cheap 1.70E to get to pythagorio PP each way 4E to get to Karlovisa PP each way

My wife and I toured Samos. We stayed here for one night and so our experiences are based only upon 24 hours. However, a touch difficult to find by car, the hotel was welcoming on arrival. It was clean and well presented. Our room was quite spacious, there was free air con, a fridge and when we asked for a hair dryer we got one immediately. The bathroom was good and again reasonably spacious. The room had a balcony with table, chairs and sofa. The view was truly excellent. Although. Nice the bar and the restaurant there was little noise. The staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. There was a plunge/ small pool which was decommissioned presumably because the beach is 5 seconds away. It is a small ( 250 metres), curved and storey/shingle beach. There are two operations organising sunbeds, one is the hotel’s and the other is the snack bar/taverna’s. Both offer service and both, I think, are 5 euros for 2 loungers and umbrella. If full it would be back to back loungers and possibly a bit crowded. We had breakfast and this was absolutely fine. It is a typical Greek hotel breakfast better than most and not as good as a few that would charge 3 or 4 times. Unless your complaint is the orange is squash not juice ( again typical ) then I cannot for the life of me see people were moaning about. I obviously, cannot comment on evening meal. So for a few days, a week, this would be perfect to chill - good location, quiet, easy access to beach/ sea and easy walk into Samos town. It’s a holiday hotel. Prices pretty fair for high season. Like all hotels there is always a risk of something or someone there not being to your liking but all things considered I’d be pretty surprised if you found anything of its type that was much better at these prices.

I am in love with this island and big part of this is to do with our stay at Samos Bay Gagou Beach hotel. We had an amazing view of the sea, woke up to peaceful waves and breathtaking view. Staff was so helpful and accommodating. And such an amazing value for our money, I would highly recommend this hotel. As a family we were able to walk to the town center for dinner and ice cream. Loved the beach, it was our favorite part of the trip. We rented a car to explore the entire island but stayed based at this hotel which was perfect so we didn't have to move from hotel to hotel. It was pure Zen, can't wait to go back!
