We stayed in the chalet for 2 weeks. The accommodation was very basic but clean. It provided a small kitchen supplied with utensils, which was great for us as we wanted to cook most of our meals. The area surrounding the accommodation is beautiful and the views of the mountains breathtaking. The chalet has its own little terrace which and we spend many hours eating and playing games on it. It has some shade which was lovely when it was really hot. The swimming pool is in the garden area, a little way away from the chalet. It has a panoramic platform with a fantastic view of the mountains. The pool itself not too big and it was lovely to take a dip in to cool down on a hot day. Coreglia Antelminelli is a small medieval village with narrow streets and while we were there some traditional celebrations took place. It has a little museum, showing the importance of the area in the worldwide distribution of plasterwork statues/sculptures in the 18/1900s. There is much to see in the area especially if you love nature. The owner of the chalet, Stefano and his family, were extremely helpful and kind and gave us advice of local places and areas to visit. Stefano is a hiking guide and we went out with him one day for a hike through the mountains. His knowledge of local history and nature is amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our hike with him. From the chalet it took approx 40 minutes to drive to Lucca and from there we took the train to Florence where we stayed for 2 days.
