Yes it is ! From the moment you arrive until you regreatable have to say goodbye. We just fell in love as do so many other visitors over the years. We were blown away by the beautiful gardens and walk ways so peaceful and we loved sitting on our balcony late afternoon with our drinks watching the different varietys of birds. There is so much choice of where to eat and we were never dissappointed with any of our meals ,even our in villa night meal was so good. This was our first visit to India and although we travel quite alot when I always said India this time my husband said not this time !!! He is completly sold on our return to The Leela and we want to thank everyone who contributed to making our time so memoriable.

Room Tip: I think all the rooms are so well appointed you do not need to upgrade, just stay longer!!

Well what can I say about this hotel that hasn’t already been said?
The reviews probably don’t give a true picture of how well appreciated this hotel is by its guests. Many guests come back year after year and I am sure they don’t keep writing reviews. This was our first time and I am sure when we are in a position to treat ourselves again we will return.
We stayed a week in January as a couple. From my experience it is clear the hotel put the guests experience first before any profit.
We arrived on a Sunday to find our travel agent had cancelled our booking. No fault of the Hotel but to compound this, the hotel was fully booked.
The Hotel duty manager (Sandy as she is fondly known by some of the regular guests) put us at immediate ease and managed to find us accommodation at the Hotel for the week. What should have been a horrible ordeal was professionally and sympathetically managed by her and our experience of this Hotel and our holiday was only enhanced by the way we were dealt with.
Our travel agent rectified the matter with the Hotel direct but it was this experience that showed how much the Hotel cares about their guests, even their new ones.
Everything has been thought of and provided for the guests comfort. We stayed in a club suite for one night and then a lagoon room. The standard in both was well above what we expected and the best we have ever stayed in by far.
The good reviews on the food, service and facilities are all true, it really is a beautiful place to stay. I read one review prior to going that mentioned the landscaping across the golf course was truly amazing, and it is. To keep the gardens so lush and manicured requires a small army of gardeners to maintain but the results are really ammaaaazzziinggg. To see all the plants, ponds and wildlife is quite breath-taking and probably unrivalled in the region. It was a pleasure just to walk around the grounds.
I played the 12 hole golf course a few times. Good fun, and reasonable at 1500 rupees. No need to bring any equipment, all supplied. The longest hole is about 100 yards so will help your short game if you are a regular player.
I would also recommend the Hotel’s Italian restaurant called the Riverside. We had what seemed like a 7 course meal in there. The service from our waiter was top class and the quality of the food exceptional. One word of warning if you try the snails, tricky little blighters to get out of the shells, but the chef will do it for you if you ask, which I had to after 5 frustrating minutes. If you order them you’ll see what I mean.
Anyway can’t wait to get back there. The prices are a little dearer than other Hotels in Goa but you get what you pay for and I think it is worth every penny, sorry rupee.

FANTASTIC

Lovely setting & very relaxing. All the staff very helpful. courteous and friendly, food very good, could not fault the room or the housekeeping service, every where in the hotel & around the grounds kept very clean.
The only fault is there is no free internet service.

Beautiful property.Ideal to relax.Extremely helpful, attentive and courteous staff.Comfortable rooms.Excellent food with the best South Indian chef dishing out yummy food name : Prabhu.
few suggestions for improvement : the hotel is situated in South Goa but the most happening placs in Goa are in the North. The hotel would benefit the travellers by providing a shuttle service to North Goa at night.
The toilets adjacent to the lobby area were consistently dirty. The library could do with some titles in English,it has very few books to read ,or even a book sho in the shopping arcade would be lovely.
All in all, no complaints, would love to visit more Leela properties, where else would they serve you tea at 2 am at night on the beach.
Thank you Leela Goa for a wonderful experience

Wonderful grounds, Fabulous beach, and Elegant architecture.
We stayed 8 nights in a lakeside room which was perfect.
Breakfast was a huge buffet extravaganza.
The hotel seemed to be almost full but there was no feeling of being crowded. The hotel seems to be very popular with Russian visitors in Jan/Feb time
Staff all very friendly
Downside no free wifi

Have just checked out of this fabulous hotel. The setting is wonderful, the staff are friendly and cannot do enough for you. The rooms are well appointed . Breakfast is a fabulous display and caters for every taste. The decor is tasteful- I wish I could have stayed longer! We dined at the Riverside Restaurant which was fab and the beach restaurant. Yes, the prices are more than you pay outside the hotel, but still cheap compared to London!
The only small "issue" I had was with the beauty treatments. I decided to book a facial at the end of our stay. I went to the Spa but was redirected to The Salon. Facials are done in a poky room off the hairdressing salon. There is no reception, just a tiny wicker sofa. You are not wrapped in a soft Leela robe but given a tiny threadbare towel. There is no relaxing Spa music and you hear all the noise in the salon- chat and hairdryers- ambience was non existent- I expected more from the Leela but have not marked the overall score down as not everyone wants a facial!
