We stayed here for three nights. The rooms have been completely done up and are fabulous . The food was superb with every cuisine having authentic tastes . The service too was excellent ( the hotel was having a 100%occupancy)and of course the beach is the highlight . Pristine and clean . I would love to visit this place again .

The Leela, Goa exceeded our expectations. It was a perfect place to relax and rejunevate.

Highly recommended for couples and family as well. Being an off season, we had the perfect privacy and the calmness at the resort makes you feel out of the world.

We had booked 2 rooms for the long weekend starting 9th Aug. When staying at a resort of this class you definitely tend to go with high expectations but initially we faced a few problems with the service... Like the airport transfer by a coach which was tardy looking then no water offered was not something you expect from a hotel of this class... At the time of check-in we had a few issues and came across some unfriendly staff although later everything was taken care of but again I expected the staff to be a lot more professional.

The rooms are nice and cart service was also good. The buffets were extensive and good in taste and our parents also enjoyed the meals but again the service at the restaurant was poor specially by some junior looking staff towards Jamavar.

After all the hick-ups a few people who made our stay memorable yet comfortable are Prashant (Restaurant Manager), Joachim @ Restaurant, Vasudev @ Front Office and Arvind (Cart) and all others who came for our pick-up and drops to the restaurant. The guy at the Archery I dont remeber the name was too good and my husband thoroughly enjoyed there. the photo shoot was good (Rohan did a good job) and we felt it was a brilliant idea and initiative by the hotel.

Even though we booked and paid 3 months in advance and requested for a birthday cake for my Bua (father's sister) it wasnt taken care of. After meeting the duty manager the email was sent to them again so that they can take care of such things in future but nobody bothered to reply. We are very frequent to Goa (at least 2-3 times) in a year and have stayed in many hotels where the service was far better. We will probably come to Leela again for the location, the resort and the mini goa that we experienced and not to mention a few people who really made the difference just hope the management takes care of these things and we get better service next time making our stay and holiday all the more memorable.

Wonderful, amazing, a memorable stay for us. We were there from 15th aug to 18th aug on our way back to muscat. Its excellent in every class. I would even rate best hospitality than Taj. Food was too good whether buffet or a la carte. My recommendation one should try prawn peri peri.
We had a lovely time at yali lounge and pool side bar. Goan Fenny with sheesha.. what a night at yali lounge.
Staff is too humble and polite, a name to few Christopher, Nityanand, warren.
Overall resort ambience was amazing, perfect serenity surrounded by lagoons. Beach is just 5 min walking distance.
Except, slightly over priced but trust me Paisa Vasool....cheerio

We stayed for two nights in August 2013. The room was large, very comfortable and beautiful. The resort has great pool and nice pool area, just watch out for the crows.
The gym is well equipped and kept clean. The spa is a little on the expensive side, but not more than expected with this class.
The only thing that let us down was the variety of food. There was no local Goan dishes in the buffet, hardly any seafood and no meat. So don't go for the meal package, go outside to get a taste of the real local cuisine.

The hotel is old and need refurnishing. House keeping very bad. The rooms are structure such that noise from neighbour guests is very disturbing. Rooms furnishing and electronic systems so old that maintainence work dusturbs guest. Tiling in swiming pool is raptured. Casino in hotel have closed down and other clubing activity and casinos are in north goa which are very far away.
Beach is very clean and calm.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your feedback following your stay at The Leela Goa.

As I mentioned to you while you were here at the resort, I was most disappointed with the lapse in communication between our internal teams that led to the inconvenience caused to you & your family. This is with regards to the disturbance caused to you owing to a minor maintenance work that was carried out in the neighbouring room. I apologize for the discomfort this caused you and I have taken up this issue strongly with my team heads here to ensure that there is no such recurrence in future.

On the comment regarding our hotel being old-fashioned, I comprehend that you were referring to the overall design & theme of the hotel which is based on the 16th century Vijayanagara architecture in confluence with the Portuguese villa themes. We pride ourselves in being the most-recently renovated resort in Goa ( in 2012 ) and have been receiving many accolades for our renovated rooms & restaurants apart from the theme and design of the public areas, specially the lobby.

We are in talks currently with the state government to renew our operating license for the casino and hope that this issue will be resolved soon. I have also personally checked the tiles in the swimming pool this morning and did not find any of them broken, however this aspect of maintenance is an ongoing one and we monitor this closely on a daily basis.

We thank you once again for your patronage and look forward to welcoming you back where hopefully, we should be able to create a more positive impression of the resort on your mind.

Yours sincerely,

Shridhar Nair

Overall the experience was WOW. As expected from Leela, we were treated very well and everyone took a very good care of us. The hotel at times looked lonely as there were not a lot of activities happening (specially during the day). The beach side bar was closed so had to walk down a bit to grab some buds but it was okay. The best part was the hotel private beach. Since I went in off season, there were hardly a couple of people at the beach. Food was good and overall the property was very nicely done.

Room Tip: The lagoons that they showcase are almost of no use. Get the rooms which are closer to the reception...
