This hotel is my favourite Leela of the three I have visited to date. (Bangalore and Kerela being the other two) the rooms are beautifully appointed, gardens are stunning, lovely pool area, spacious throughout, and luxurious. I love the way the rooms overlook the lagoons, the birds and flowers and fish all add a beauty that help you relax. Service is fantastic, all the staff are knowledgeable and helpful, just what you would wish for. Food in the hotel is good, especially the breakfast buffet, but its expensive and you can eat out much cheaper although its is much more rustic. The beach is huge, and the variety of beach restaurants help add some dieversity and another dimension. I hope to come back here again very soon, this is a resort that has it all for a decadent relaxing time.

we stayed at the sweet of the hotel , which was unbelivably huge and beautiful.it was as big as a 2 bed room house in bombay, indai. it was well kept and the staff was very helpful. the beach was beautiful . the food in all the restaurants was great and it is a huge property with practically evrything in it. one doesnt need to step out and can just enjoy the place.

It’s the third time we are returning to this resort. We always apprehend that the quality has gone downhill. But, pleasant surprise. It has significantly improved ! We had booked two Lagoon terraces and check-in went like a breeze despite our late arrival.

The management is better now. Calls are returned promptly; The service is better. Daily newspaper was delivered regularly which was not the case last time and, the Concierge was simply a mess.

I do not want to repeat again the plus points of this resort. Vast domain. You do not feel oppressed by the crowd. Fantastic gardens with flowers everywhere. Lovely terrace with a view of the lagoon. The terrace view is so calm and peaceful that you do not want to leave the room.

Calm sea atmosphere. Anti Club-Med. No sound of jet skis or rowdy music.

Last time we went full board. As we found that we were not fully profiting the full board formula (most of the time we went on sightseeing), this time we choose to eat out. Well, it turned out to be a mistake.

Most of the shacks, we tried, were awful. The worst being Fisherman’s Wharf.

We spent the night time playing Scrabble and other card games with our children and mostly in-villa dining. The service was good while the food deserves to be improved especially the continental food. And sometimes, the indian food was fatty (Bhindi do Piazza was floating in tis oil when it is supposed to be dry).

Breakfast as usual was just great. Pity, that the Indian breakfast items are placed in a far-away corner. Also, did not understand the logic of separating chutneys and the idlees in two different corners. Foreigners, visiting the first time, would not figure the idli/chutney associations combo.

Anyway, these are just minor quibbles when compared to the nice time we had. Would we come back ? Definitely. Hope this management continues.

Having spent a couple of weeks travelling around India we crashed out at this hotel for six days. And what a wonderful experience- the staff, location on the beach, facilities, bedrooms and everything you could want for a restful break. Don't worry about walking to the on-site facilities - one of the golf carts will take you - especially helpful in such a warm climate.

Room Tip: Perhaps a room closer to the central block would be preferable.

hotel has the river on one side and the sea on the other, and enough water bodies within. tranquility is the essence of this place. you dont need to leave the hotel, if goa is your agenda then you better think again as this place has every thing to enjoy a short stay. lovely white beach well managed by the staff, excellent italian restaurant by the river, sea food restaurant on the beach, multicusine coffeeshop, discotheque etc.

Room Tip: multiple options, depends on your budget

\had a nice short and sweet visit to leela goa recently. the resort is remotely located about an hours drive from the airport in southern goa. to be specific its the southernmost luxury hotel in goa. it is a vast resort with an open lobby and cottages and villas spread all across and some almost hidden among numerous vegetation all over the place. i am not a big fan of open lobbies as things can get really hot in summer months, which exactly was the case here.
the reception staff were nice and helpful, showing the entire resort and all things that can be done. the room was big and extremely neat with a huge bathroom and large windows facing the lagoon. however our room was bit away from the reception and the walk to the beach was easily a 500m long walk.
the beach however is clean and tranquil with lot of assistance from hotel staff present all the time. walk back up from the beach leads to the pool-saloon-spa area, which is a nice place to relax in the late afternoon. there are plenty of options for dining, however, the main restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets, which are sumptuous and delightful.
the staff are friendly and hospitable however they lack promptness in executing the services promised by them.
overall, its a nice place to be especially for a couple if one wants to just relax and switch off. it is not in a part of goa where one should stay if someone wants to party and enjoy nightlife. the resorts casino has been shut down for a long time now which also is a huge let down.

Room Tip: choose a room as close to the reception as possible unless you are into walking long distances.
