Enjoyed Leela Goa - nice swimming pool and excellent beach location. All this of course comes at a price. They had a great breakfast buffet as well. We only ate other meals outside of the hotel complex, where you can get better value and a more authentic experience. Excellent, well appointed rooms. Don't miss dinner at Fisherman's Wharf, which is right outside the hotel and has excellent seafood.

I stayed in this hotel with my husband on a weekend. The hotel has a huge and well maintained property, also it has a huge golf course. The private beach of the hotel is very clean, well maintained and picture perfect. The buggy service is very nice and frequent. The hotel staff is also very warm and welcoming. The lagoon view room was a good experience. The room is spacious and cozy. The balcony opens directly to the lagoon which makes the room even more beautiful. The food is really good and there is a lot of variety for food lovers. The lobby of the hotel is very specious and attractive.
The spa of the hotel is over expensive. Also, the bar in the hotel (I don’t remember the name of the bar) is a big let down and a sad place.
Overall, it was a good and relaxing experience to stay at Leela, Goa. One may definitely consider staying at the Leela if plan to visit south Goa.

Room Tip: Lagoon view room is a good room and value for money.

We've stayed here before and it's a great hotel, with excellent staff, beautiful surroundings and great, great food.
But all the lagoons are breeding places for mosquitoes. Which is obvious, so we took all the sensible precautions. Yet one day all 6 of us got eaten alive by hungry man-eating mozzies, and this was during the daytime. I'm still itching now! Other nearby places up and down the coast just dont have this problem.
But I guess we'll still go back...

Room Tip: Be sure to get a lagoon view with open balcony, and use deet when you sit out to enjoy the view!

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your continued patronage and for taking the time to post your feedback following your recent stay at The Leela Goa.

Very happy to know that you had a pleasant stay and your feedback was shared with our entire team. We do have an effective pest control program in place, however, due to the vegetation around the hotel rooms, this can sometimes be a challenge.

We look forward to welcoming you back.

We spent 4 days during our South India trip in November in the Kempinski hotel and we had an amazing stay.
The hotel is huge and magnificient.
Rooms are very luxious - I really loved the bathroom which is outstanding.
The beach area is just paradisiac. My recommandation would be to improve the service by the beach... We have spent an hour trying to order something to eat. Otherwise nothing else to add regarding the beach.
After watching the sunset by the beach, try the swimming pool area which is very pleasant.
Regarding the food, the breakfast, like in every Kempinski is the best we ever had. But the fish restaurant by the beach (Susegado) is not really good and very expensive. Try the restaurant just outside the hotel, near the Susegado.
Overall the service is great and staff is helpful. We really appreciated the early check-in in our room since our train arrived from Kochi around 4 AM...
And last but not least, the pastries in our room were delightfull.
So If you're looking for a luxurious place to relax after experiencing the tresures of India, this is the place.
I warmly recommand this hotel, it's amazing.

We travelled in September End. The Suite we had was fantastic with a huge drawing room and a bedroom and 2 bathrooms and 2 balconies. It was very close to the dining area but still very quite and secluded. This is the 2nd time we visited this property. The pools were a bit crowded. The beach and clean and beautiful. We could peacefully sit and have a bottle of wine on the beach with the sun going down. The breakfast was normal as expected.

Room Tip: Try the suites and take the upper rooms for a better light.

The Leela is an outstanding hotel with a great resort feel to it. The staff bend over backwards to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, but they do it unobtrusively in the background. Our first tour of India was to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and, when we mentioned this to a staff member in passing, the next thing we knew, a bottle of chilled champagne and a delicious "Happy Anniversary" cake appeared in our bedroom, compliments of The Leela. A lovely touch and a very kind gesture which we will never forget.

The hotel is set in acres of beautifully landscaped gardens which would impress anyone, even those who are not interested in flora and fauna. Our lagoon terrace room had a gorgeous balcony view overlooking a little island peppered with little white egrets which only added to the feeling of being at one with nature, albeit in a "man made" environment. For those who prefer not to walk, buggies are available to take you wherever you want to go in the resort. You do miss out on the magical little corners of The Leela gardens by doing this and also on an opportunity to work off the superb food. The buffet breakfast is amazing and would cater for all tastes, no matter how demanding.

The beautiful beach is endless and you rarely come across other people. It also provided interesting photo opportunities and not just at sunset which is something to behold in this part of Goa. I could go on forever, raving about The Leela, and run out of superlatives. This is a very special place and the ideal antidote to a hectic touring schedule or just an incredible escape from everyday life. I know we will return and I look forward to another stay in paradise.

Room Tip: A lagoon terrace room (ours was 121) is just far enough from the main hotel to enjoy a leisurely wal...
