Stayed there with family for 4 days in Sept 2012. Leela properties have earned a reputation of Beyond Luxury hence every body had very high expectation from them & they always live up to the that level of expectation . Staff is extra courteous & very well behaved..always smiling. Check in very smooth and our request for upgrade was also accepted with a smile even though there was some conference going on during that time and Property was full. Foods was excellent. Room service was fast inspite of being huge property. Artificial pond was great and also you can see many different type of birds. Would again plan whenever get time next. WHOLEHEARTEDLY RECOMMENDED for every body who want to unwind for few days

We shifted to this property on our last day of stay in goa in September... post our stay in Radisson Blu..... We actually came to the casino couple of days earlier ... fell in love with the property and decided to stay here for a day...

This is a real classic property,.. they have an artifical lake.. which has lotuses... and a bridge built over it... for a wonderful walk around the property... Very nice swimming pool.. N above all the best beach,.. Live star fishes and crabs and shells walking on the beach... Pure unexplored nice beach....

Leela Goa live up to the opulence the brand has magnificently rolled out in their other properties. The hour long drive from the airport gives a glimpse of south Goa - green paddy fields, coconut grooves, old fashioned portuguese homes and churches sharing space with new ugly concrete houses with weird paints.

The lobby of the hotel is simply indian and exotic with a huge 'Natraj' idol in black metal displayed before a hallucinating red wall. Fresh 'Coconut water' and garlands welcome you to the settle down on the numerous sofa's in the open lobby. It was summer and hence a lot humid and hot. The open lobby with a few fans lazily swirling didnt help. Even though having an open lobby with ample view of the lush green garden, the pool and the manicured lawns and the beach beyond, against a closed air conditioned lobby gives it a real resort feel, but the hot ballooning air was a problem. Wish they had more standing fans that sprayed cold water vapour to keep the temperature cool.

The room was spacious with a separate patio at the end, of the room overlooking a mini-creek, with sofas and a bed to watch tv or cool your mind by letting it wandering in the green waters of the creek filled with lotus and fully bloomed gulmohars reflecting its red branches from the banks.

The restaurants are expensive. But have to admit the food was good and not disappointing. But sadly you have no other options outside the resort. Must say...the Italian restaurant dinner was fabulous. The music and the night was memorable. If you have time try the Spa. Overall its expensive but the pedicure and manicure was value for money. You can ignore the gym...its a disappointment.

Transportation can be a problem. Taxis outside the hotel are expensive and these taxis will not allow outside taxis to service you. Its a cartel to fleece you. So we opted for bikes...they come cheap. Not many places to see around. We managed to ride the bike all the way till north goa and then the next day to Rama Fort.

Would recommend to stay in the resort and relax and relax. The rooms are fabulous, lush green tropical gardens and lawns to walk around and a well maintained swimming pool. I saw a 60plus western lady just doing that - she relaxed reading 50 shades of grey all 3 days i was there.

I must say The Leela Goa is one of the Best 5 Stars I have ever stayed at. Excellent Rooms, Superb Facilities, Top Class Service, Brilliant Food & I can go on & on.

The property is huge - a Gold Course, a Superlative Beach, a gigantic Pool. I borrowed a bike/cycle to explore it. They have a small Casino & 3-4 Restaurants to choose from. The Food is excellent, especially the Breakfast spread. Do try their signature dessert, its simply awesome.

The Rooms are opulent - Superb layout, Excellent amenities, Luxurious Bathrooms. This hotel is perfect if you are a couple or a family with Kids. My room had a section with a lounging sofabed with its own Entertainment system & a superb view of the Gardens. The minibar is well stacked. There is a distinct level of detail gone into setting the room. If you opt for the 1st floor rooms, you get a small balcony/terrace too.

However, the thing that separated Leela from the rest of the 5 Stars in Goa was the Service & the Staff - Courteous, Efficient, Eager & well-trained. I highly recommend at Stay @ The Leela. I am sure you will love it.

Room Tip: Choose the Lagoon Rooms or the ones close to the Reception/Restaurants
