Gosh didn't realise Octima's was here on trip advisor, otherwise would have left a review sooner. We had been to Octima's restaurant a couple of years ago when staying in Cavelossim and really liked it. Beautiful setting, lots of twinkling lights etc., good, reasonable food and Fatima, the owner who is lovely. So, this year paying a visit to Cavelossim from Bombay and North Goa decided to see if we could get a room at Octima's. We did, and it was great. Nice room with everything we needed and very pretty with a balcony. There is also a large shared balcony on the first floor. It was like a home from home. You have to walk through their home to get to the rooms. In fact they even let us watch the F1 Grand Prix on their TV. Food and drink was still great and I felt more than comfortable sitting at the bar on my own as a lone female when my other half was out shopping or fishing ! My other half who is also a very good cook even helped her sons out in the kitchen as they were struggling a bit with Shepherds Pie, having suffered some disappointed Brits who couldn't get it there. I hope you have perfected it lads or taken it off the menu, your own food is much better anyway.
Fatima is lovely, a staunch Catholic, we had a few questions about whether we were married or not !, but she and her family just want to make sure your visit whether staying and/or eating is the best it can be.
