Description: Restaurant "El Muelle de Arriate" is located in the trainstation of Arriate, one of the White Villages close to Ronda.A tapas restaurant with quite a range of tapas and plates. As we work with fresh ingredients many times we also offer a new "invention" wich you will not find on our menu. We take special care of your children and with us you can have an early dinner if you like.In summer with spectacular views from the terrace along the railway line towards the mountains of the Sierra de las Nieves. In winter close to the fireplace. We are open for lunch and dinner.

“Get there!”
Reviewed May 15, 2013

There were four of us at lunch. The bill for a shared first course (two goat cheese salad portions) followed by individual second courses with drinks (beers, mineral water, coffees) and one pudding (chocolate cake) and tip came to €75. The caramelised goat cheese (sourced in Arriate) with nuts on a bed of fresh salad leaves was divine. My plate of fried fishes and seafood was perfect, crisp and light, even the lemon tasted - well, perfect: juicy, flagrant, fresh. Looking at other tables, the food looks so good that we all made plans to return. The tapas menu included Andalucian traditional tapas and was tantalising. I thought they were very reasonably priced. Next time this is what I would order as a means of tasting a range of foods. It was a delightful lunch. Cost per person £££ for a formal meal, probably ££ for tapas.

“The best food I had in Ronda.”

What a beautiful location and what a lovely food! Super local slow-food, served by extremely nice people. It is just a matter of time for their first michelin star...

“An excellent place to eat and relax”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

Staying in Arriate (at the Arriadh Hotel) we found this the perfect place to eat (and we ate there 6 times). Frank is a charming and helpful host with a great knowledge of the area and speaks Dutch, English, Spanish and German. The food can be "modern tapas" or a "normal" meal depending on what you choose and what size, but either way the food is excellent. Imaginative and fresh. The surroundings are comfortable and stylish. The pace is relaxing. The welcome is warm and friendly. The food and drinks are excellent value (although that seemed to be true of most places we ate at in Spain). I cannot fault it.

“A true gastronomic treat”
Reviewed April 25, 2013

Arrival at a picturesque station marked the start of this wonderful experience. Frank warmly welcomed us to his unique restaurant where his eye for detail and fantastic care instantly made us feel we were in for a treat. We recommend you allow Frank to guide you through the menu and take his advice. I have to say we had a real treat, every course well beautifully presented and a true delight to savour. The meal was not rushed, and ebbed and flowed through a wide selection of exquisitely presented local produce. The meal was very well priced and excellent value for money. We will certainly visit Frank again when we come to Spain.

“Simply superb!”
Reviewed April 25, 2013

I have never written a review for anything before but having just had lunch at this amazing restaurant, I felt I had to. Frank who owns the restaurant is excruciatingly meticulous with his eye for detail and ensuring the whole meal is an experience. The food is mainly local produce, from the market and prepared in a creative and delicious style. It is cooked simply but innovatively. Frank explained all the options in great detail and we just went with his recommendation rather than view the menu. Simply wonderful and well worth the scenic journey by train from San Roque which is also recommended. The restaurant is right by the station so very accessible. You won't be disappointed and excellent value for money. Can't wait to go back.
