We stayed here in May 2010 & after a long coach journey (we normally stay in Sidari) we finally landed at the Rainbow complex & we were staying in the Nafsika apartments. Apartments so out of date & we felt as if we were back & forth with little niggly things such as the kettle had black mould all over the inside, ants all over the apartment & before anyone says yes but it's Greece & you have got to be prepared for these things well I can say we are very used to holidaying in Greece & do love our holidays here but we don't expect to share our bed with creepy crawlies - my other half got up one morning with ants crawling all over the pillows. Also even though apartment was a 2 bedroom we only used one due to the fact that one suffered more from damp than the other. We had a balcony but this was right over sunbeds so when you wanted to spend time privately you found you were looking out over people sunbathing & as it was near the ground floor it wasn't really private at all. However the food was ok & breakfast plentiful (particularly like the homemade Quince jam) & prices quite reasonable. Arillas is a very quiet resort & always windy! Our favourite eating places were Porto fino & Brouklis tavernas both really good meals & reasonable prices. We also arranged excursions with Arillas travel theymay have charged more than we are used to paying in Sidari but Sidari is a much bigger resort, also we had such a lovely service from Arillas travel we did the Mount Pantokrator trip & were a bit dubious as to whether it would be running as when we booked noone else had already booked for this trip but we were assured that even if we were the only ones going the trip would still go ahead - true to their word we were collected by the lovely Andre's in a car which he acted like our very own chaffeur & drove us all the way to the top of the mountain (apparently if we had been on a coach trip we would have been dropped off lower down & would have to walk the rest of the distance to the top, needless to say we were glad to be in the car). On the way back down our next stop was at a lovely village of Strinilas with a old elm tree, lovely coffee break & delicious apple cake. Next we were supposed to go to Roda then Sidari but we just asked Andre's if we could just go to Sidari instead "No problem" was the reply, we wanted to check on the prices compared to Arillas & found Sidari was way cheaper than Arillas both for food, drink & excursions, also if you need a taxi from Saint Stephanos to Arillas the taxi comes from Sidari to Saint Stephanos & so you are charged from the moment it leaves Sidari. The second trip was to Corfu town we were amongst other guest on a coach this time but again Andre's was our driver & we had already asked at the travel office if we could go to Kanoni & we were told this could be arranged after guests were dropped off in the town we stayed on the coach & travelled to the view on many postcards Mouse Island (Pontikonissi) & Vlacherna monastery to left hand side of the cafe's & to the right hand side is the airport runway, after viewing we were then taken back to Corfu town for the rest of the tour, Andre's remembered us & when driving past the Rainbow complex he would pip his horn & wave, also thanks to Vicky or Vasiliki (greek name for Vicky) she works behind the desk in Arillas travel & actually stopped to give us a lift on way back from Saint Stephanos. Anyhow we found that Arillas was a little remote for us & we do prefer the prices in Sidari so probably wouldn't venture back to Arillas. Do visit Corfu though as it is a lovely Greek island

This was our first visit to Corfu and we have found our paradise. Beautiful place, amazing food and a friendly welcome every day from Jimmy. The apartments were cleaned every day and the pool was immaculate. The bar was friendly and very reasonably priced, and food was available whenever you wanted. Our teenage son took full advantage of this and we often found him having a snack in the bar while watching the Olympics. It was the most relaxing holiday we have ever had!

Loved the place, Jimmy & Vicky are a lovely couple and their family too! Apartments are functional and clean, Jenny the cleaner is a star! location for us is ideal, not too far away from the beach, but far enough away to have a great nights sleep. . . whilst being eaten alive by the mossies!! take all you can to combat them! We are now booking up for next year having only been back less than two weeks. More family coming with us this time too, cant wait.

Stayed here with my family for a weeks break back in June. Had a lovely holiday with lovely staff who always greeted with a smile. The rep was amazing and could not fault him in any way!!! A truly amazing hotel not far from the heart of a magical resort

Stayed at the Nafsika 1st week in July. Apartment was clean, and spacious basic but typical for all greek holiday apartments. Who wants to cook? The complex is run by a delightful family who are so friendly. We were there as a couple but met some like minded Brits so had some lovely nights around the bar drinking, chatting, drinking lol . ate breakfast here twice- a first for us on holiday very nice and good VFM. Bar prices were also v. reasonable. Quiz nights etc not really our thing but it's the sort of place were you can spend all your time there or like us just use the bar after dinner elsewhere and you are made to feel equally welcome. Cheers Dimitris xx

Just back from a week at the Rainbow and I have to say that it totally exceeded my expectations. Jimmy and his team are amazing!!!
We stayed at the Nafsika and had a two bed apartment. If i start with the 'bad' points first (and they're really not that bad!) -
1. the bathroom was a little small and quite dated. That said, it was very clean. Lets be honest though, how much time do you actually spend in the bathroom anyway??
2. The kitchen was also a little dated. It was perfectly easy for basic food (mini fry up, sandwiches, pasta etc) but I wouldn't want to try much more. The utensils are a bit hit and miss but there's generally enough for you to make do. Again though, i'm sure that most people won't want to do more than a few basic bits as the restaurant on site is very comprehensive and there are loads of places in town.
OK, so the 'good' points
1. The staff. They're just great and so helpful. Its a total family operation and you can see that they are all really passionate about what they do.
2. The rooms and general areas are spotlessly clean.
3. The location is great and everything that you could want is no more than a 5 minute walk away.
4. The pool is really clean and they turn it into a lovely fountain at night
5. The food in the restarant is good and reasonably priced
6. There's a little lending library with a good selection of books
7. There is a pool table and a dart board which you can use if you like. The bar is big enough that you aren't on top of everything
8. The apartment was spacious and airy.
In conclusion this is a great place if you're looking for a more personal service than the chain type hotels. Everyone there will do their best to make you feel at home and to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. I would be back there in a hearbeat.

Just back from our second stay this year at the Rainbow complex, and stayed in the Dionyssos 2 apartments. Our apartment was great; very spacious with seperate kitchen, bathroom and bedroom, and was cleaned and maintained to the usual high standard. We didn't use the self catering facilities as we prefer to eat out but the kitchen was well equipped.
As always Jimmy, Spiro and their families were always on hand to ensure we had a fantastic and memorable stay. We ate at the restaurant in the complex every day and as always the food was excellent with a great selection of breakfasts, snacks and evening meals. We did venture out to other restaurants, of which there is a good selection in the village, but we enjoyed the food and atmosphere so much at the Rainbow that we spent most of our time there.
As usual we met many repeat guests who return to this place year after year like ourselves.
Arillas is a great place for families and couples and we love the laid back atmosphere of the village and these apartments.
Highly recommend this place and have already booked for next year.
