The hotel is beautiful on the outside, with a great pool and playground for kids and close to the beach. However, upon our late arrival, there was no one to greet us and instructions were left to call a night guard if arriving late, but no nearby telephone and I had no credit on my cell. Luckily, a girl from the pool bar happened to pass by after work and she helped me carry my luggage from the car.

I'd requested a crib, but this was not ready, perhaps, the English didn't translate, but they didn't ask either. I did get a pack n play the next morning after requesting in person.

The breakfast although plentiful was not very good and it cost extra. The buffet dinner was 18 Euro per person, which for a vegetarian was not worth the effort.

My biggest complaint however, as I was traveling alone with two children, and the hotel was not my only stop on my trip of the Balkans, was that there was no internet in the rooms. The only place to check internet was either poolside or in the lobby. Imagine trying to do that with a 1 1/2 year old. Especially traveling in the middle of Greek's economic crisis, not having access to news to know what the situation was with the banks or in Athens where I was traveling next, was very frustrating.

Additionally the rooms themselves are very sparse, not a place you want to spend any time in and the hotel charges extra if you want clean towels during your stay. They also change bedding only once a week. Did I mention I was traveling with children? Have you ever tried to keep snacking children from making a mess in a hotel room? Also, for those traveling to other places, there was no laundry service available at the hotel.

So if you are going for a short trip from Scandanavia and want to unplug, go for it, but for other travelers, I've enjoyed much better stays.

Nice surroundings with olive trees and walking distance to both sand and pebbles beach. Large pool area at the property. The Langley concept of half board and a show kitchen is attractive and the food delicious.

Some rooms thou, is not up to standard especially the bathrooms. Be sure to book in the newer part of the hotel.

Tip on shopping: Who would have thought that you a couple of hudred meters from the hotel would find a resistant nest in a land of industry beers like Mythos and Alfa? The mini market - The Pear Tree - has an impressive variety of craft beer with a german shelf, belgian shelf, english shelf and last - but not least! - some really nice greek craft beers! Don´t miss it if your in the hood. Here´s the address: 35°26′57″ N  24°11′51″ E; Almyrida, Crete.

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for a room in the renovated part of the hotel as there are bathrooms that are not up to standard in other parts.

I just love this Hotel and have been returning many times. The hotel is beautifully located in an olive grove, a few minutes from the beach. The main building holds rooms, the reception (wifi offered) and the restaurant. The are also three separate buildings with rooms, all of them of higher standard than in the main building. I think it is good that there are different rooms to choose from. I especially like the rooms in the 300 series because of the location and the view of the mountains, the Lefka Ori.

Another great thing is the pool! A 50 metres pool to swim in! I just love it! There are also sun beds, free of charge and a pool bar. The hotel arranges activities and there is a tennis court for those who are interested. It is possible to take lessons.

The breakfast buffet is tasty and offers a wide range of food. It is also possible to eat lunch and/or dinner at the hotel. Once a week they organise a barbecue.

I will return in May again and I can't wait to go back! The staff is very friendly.

Very impressive resort - Excellent swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds, fantastic location - the sea views are to die for. The waiting-on staff and cleaning staff were top-class.

The facilities are a little tired:the room was VERY basic [Superior Double Room with balcony & sea view] - a mini fridge, no cupboard doors, and lethal, uneven stone steps up to tiled steps en-route to balcony doors - NOT for those with limited mobility. There are no staircase handrails anywhere on resort - mitigated by a longer route with sloped floors if you prefer. The air-conditioning was useless - positioned on wall in front of wardrobe so it could only chill a 2foot area - useless BUT very cost effective
The swimming pool although magnificent was in need of maintenance - mosaic tiles missing underwater. [we did go towards end of season though]. There was also loose wires protruding up from tiled walkway adjacent to pool where a light had once stood - the number of guests who tripped over or stubbed their toes on his was numerous. Why wasn't this covered by a hazard warning?
The quality of food was excellent although I was a little concerned at the storage temperature setting of the chilled cheese/salami counter at breakfast - the sliced cheese appeared to have melted together prior to being chilled - Also I would've preferred counters a little higher to prevent young children sneezing on food!

Rooms are extremely basic. No shower head holder, you can only hose yourself down. Not even a chair in the room to sit on.
The pool area was lovely, day and night.
Easy check in & friendly staff.
Buffet Breakfast choices were limited.
I wouldn't stay here again.
