We only had a meal here once it was at the end of our holiday, but what a lovely Taverna. The setting was great in a garden at the back with trees stone walls nice lighting really romantic. The food was excellent run by a family who care about your time in their restaurant, we even had a little greek lesson great. it is Just a little walk from the beach tavernas, a must try wish we went there earlier thank you for a nice evening.

A wonderful taverna, set back from the beachfront, run by a family who take great pride in their cooking and care about the ingredients they source. We went with our two small children who loved the food too. Fantastic service too.

We stayed in Almyrida for two weeks and tried every taverna! Lagos, an authentic family run taverna was by far the best in terms of quality of food and quality of service. The "secret garden" is gorgeous and very atmospheric with vines dripping with grapes and beautiful old stone walls. My children loved the cheese pies, meatballs in tomato sauce, stuffed peppers and souvlaki. The sword fish was beautiful and the stifado the tastiest we had. We were delighted to find this taverna which could easily be missed as it's slightly away from the main village. Top marks to Yiannis, his wife and mother!

In Almyrdia most restaurants are situated at the seafront and exsist to please the tourists, but Lagos is hidden beyond the seafront and serve authentic greek food. We had Stifado and Souvlaki- very traditional, but extremely well made with focus on the meat, no salad attached to the dish, only handmade french fries. The menu card is pretty limited compared to the sea front reaturants, but for sure fresh. The atmosphere is very cosy and for sure an other experience than seafront restaurants.
