My wife have been heer for 10 Danys, and enjoyed all the of this luxuary and charming boutique hotel.
Rooms: we first hooked a standard seaview room, but decided to Pay for an upgrade to an oceanview suite (with private jacuzzi) room 19, which really was amazing. I highly recommend to book this kind of room or a beach cottage, just to experience the extra touch.
Staff: excellent service and very friendly.
Pool: small but idyllic. Poolbar open 24h.
Spa: massages are just perfect, and only for 25 € / hour!
Restaurant and beachbar at the beach. A fantastic spot.
Quality of food is top level, and there is enough variation to eat diiferent meals for a month. Everything day à la carte and theme buffets.

We have visited The Sands at Nomad several times. And it's absolutely our spot! And we've always thought that everything was great: Service is top notch, food, ambiance and setting is perfect and the rooms great!
And then. Then we decided to get married there, and got blown away!
We came to Claudia & Richard with basically nothing but this: Flowers: Birds of Paradise. Theme: Fun.
And we ended up with the most amazingly beautiful, classy, fun, powerful and fantastic wedding. Claudia has an eye for details that any wedding-planner in Hollywood would die for. And planning a wedding with her and Richard was both fun, inspiring and made sure that neither bride or groom ever had any wedding-jitters. We knew that everything was taken care of - and would be absolutely perfect.
Together we figured out tons of great details, like acrobats & camels, food, gospel choir, surprice cakes and so much more.
But nothing could prepare us for just how perfect everything was. Claudia is noting less than a star! We we're WAUW'ed by everything - and so was our guests who had flown in from all over the world.
Not only had Claudia & Richard managed to surpass all our expectations, they had also managed to put in little extra surprises for us. They pulled this wedding off - in style!
And all the staff was 100% behind us and our day too. They were counting down, working their behinds off and did a heck of a job!
So. The Sands at Nomad is great for a holiday! And if you're looking for your beach-wedding-location. Stop looking. You will never find a better place and there are only one Claudia. And she's all you really need!

My friend and I had gloriouse four days in August 2009, staff is very pleasant and helpful, appartments overlooking ocean are very comfortable. the restaurant is great, very good food. the perfect Austrian couple who manages the place were always there to help you feel welcome.

we spent four days not moving from the place, just resting, swmming and having beautiful view in front of us. the only problem were monkeys :)

Great place for rest and reading books and enjoying the beautiful piece of Kenya, highly recomended.

Dear Claudia and Richard,
Thank you so so much for making our dream wedding come true.
Our wedding was so amazing, we as a couple together with our guests really enjoyed our stay there. We did a survey of like six Hotels in South coast and your hotel bit the rest in terms of pricing, food, organization, your friendly staff and mostly the management hospitality.
I would recommend anyone who wants to have a wedding or just a relaxing time.....Sands at Nomads is the best place to be.
Thank you so much for making our day and If anyone who reads this and would like to have a dream wedding do not hesitate to go to Sands at Nomads.

Room Tip: Get the room with the jacuzzi to be exact room number 23:-)

This place is fantastic. I truly loved the open concept restaurant right on the beach!! Large, spacious, and still covered enough to give you a cozy feeling whilst being right there next to the white sand and warm ocean - I loved it. Thank you so much for putting us up in the cottages - they were remarkable and I loved the large glass windows which made the rooms light and spacious and yet very comfortable and private. Room Tip: Definitely try the cottages on the beach front gardens!!

I spent 2 weeks here, but not for vacation but for the installation of a Solar system in a nearby school in Ukunda. So I spent almost only the evenings in the hotel, and the quality of the bed, bathroom, breakfast and dinner, plus the WiFi connection, was more important than anything else.
And all those points were met to my fullest satisfaction!!
The room in the second floor of the old main building was certainly nothing fancy, but spacious and well enough equipped with everything I needed in those 2 weeks.
The bed was comfortable, clean, with mosquito net, and apparently without any bugs inside that had left many bites on me and my wife in another hotel along Diani beach before.
The pool is not very big, but big enough to swim a bit, and kept sufficiently clean. And most important for me - it was still open after sunset (unlike pools in some other hotels along Diani beach), when I came home from our installation works and wanted to cool down a bit from the hot day.
I didn't go to the beach, and so was never molested by any beach boy during the entire 2 weeks - there was never any of them inside the hotel grounds.
The free WiFi, important for my business mail, worked reliably and fast in the room as well as around the pool.
The very best however I found the restaurant:
not only did the breakfast buffet offer everything and in big enough quantities to bring you through a hard day even without lunch
but the highlight was the dinner buffet, which had a different country/regional theme every night, and offered not just a vast variety of dishes, but also the highest quality. In fact I had some of the best country specific specialties there I have eaten in a long time!
And the service in the restaurant was impeccable during all times (which I also experienced otherwise before).
All in all a very nice and comfortable refuge after a hard days work in the sun.
The only reason I don't give 5 stars is the relatively high price, at or even above European level, even though I had one of the cheapest rooms. But that is a phenomenon for all of Diani :-(

Room Tip: be ready to pay more than Standard ;-)
