The experience at the Leopard Beach Resort was just amazing. The resort is very nice, clean and the location is great. The gardens are truly beautiful and quiet. Everyone in the staff is really friendly, polite and helpful and always with a smile on their face. The rooms are nice and spacious. A special thank to Joan over at reservations who was very kind and efficient.
The two pools are nice and clean and the restaurants are good and with a variety of choices every day. The beach is the best part with comfortable beds, white sand and crystal blue waters. The beach boys can be quite annyoing sometimes, but not harmful. The only suggestion I can really think of is maybe having a few fans on the ceilings would be nice especially in the check-in area where is really hot.
I would recommend this resort to anyone and I really can't wait to go back soon!

Dear Giulio,

Thank you for taking time to put down such a lovely review. It was indeed a pleasure hosting you and a delight to read that you enjoyed your experience with us . Especially that you appreciated the hospitality delivered by our team as well as the different facilities available.

Our 2 separate beach areas offer unique space for our guests to relax and enjoy with an amazing view of the sparkling Indian Ocean Beach. For those wishing to engage in fun and exciting beach activities, Coco Mchana is the place for you, with a unique yet semi-formal Coco Mchana restaurant tucked in the sane vicinity offering the best in Asian cuisine style stir fries; right by the beach side.

Kusini beach on the other hand offers a quite, relaxing atmosphere for those in need of some peace and quiet. In order to ensure that our guest enjoy fully uninterrupted holiday time by our beach areas , a 24 hours security provision is in place .

We shall pass on your kind comments to Joan and her team. We are certain that they shall be delighted to hear of them.

Guilio, we very much look forward to seeing you again, soon!! For yet another fantastic holiday.

Kind Regards,
Chui Team

The hotel is located at a beautiful piece of beach and is definitely a good choice for a beach-vacation in Kenya. I stayed here in March 2013 and was quite satisfied. The rooms are divided between several buildings in a beautiful garden - if you're lucky, you'll spot many monkeys in the gardens.

When I arrived early in the morning, I was given a room for temporary use, as my superior room was not ready for check-in yet - I assume some of the rooms have not been renovated yet, so the temporary room was not too nice. The superior rooms, however, are very spacious and quite nice. The air-conditioning is comfortable (e.g. not blowing directly onto the bed) and even when switched off, the room had a bearable temperature. There is wi-fi in the rooms and in the public areas of the hotel - it mostly works ok, though not always, and the internet is sometimes very slow... but that I expected. I was a bit concerned that there were no mosquito nets above the beds or on the sliding doors to the room - luckily, there weren't many mosquitos (I saw like 4 during my entire stay and didn't get bitten once), but it still would have made me feel more comfortable if there had been mosquito nets available. The mirror in the bathroom looked a little damaged, but overall the bathroom was ok. The rooms were very clean and quiet.

The beach and pool are both clean and there were always enough beach-beds. You can only properly swim in the ocean at certain times, as during the low tide the water goes too far back - but this is only a few hours. An animation team is present, but luckily they're not too intrusive and there is no loud music blasting at the pool/beach.

The breakfast buffet is excellent, with a lot of fresh exotic fruit, fried eggs and omelettes, pancakes and of course the usual breakfast items (bread, ham, cheese, jams...). I also loved the fresh fruit juices. The dinner was mediocre - a lot of sea-food is available, but as a sea-food hater, I thought the rest of the choices were rather repetitive and nothing special. I thought the live music at dinner was mostly boring and bland.

All other food and drinks at the hotel seem a bit overpriced - especially bottled water (225Ksh for 1L, versus 65-80Ksh for 1.5L in a supermarket). There is a supermarket nearby, just 15 minutes walking from the hotel where you can buy snacks and bottle much cheaper than at the resort. Oh and the exchange rates at the banks within walking distance are MUCH better than at the hotel, so if you feel like walking a little, it's worth it.

The staff at the hotel is very friendly and helpful - almost to the point of being too friendly (or fake-friendly), but I guess that's just a personal opinion.

I thought the hotel was pleasant enough, but not a "luxury" resort of course.

Room Tip: The superior rooms are much nicer than the regular rooms (which have not been renovated yet?).

This hotel is very well located with long sandy beach, very clean and discrete. You do not see many guest mingling around although it was full. The staff is kind and helpfull in any way. The higlights: different music every evening during dinner time ( jazz duo band is very good, and fish-bbq restaurant with a lady singing like Whitney Houston, more than great!). Bravo! Things to take care about: we came around 7 AM tired and hungry ( 14 hours of flight) but the receptionist told us we could get only tea or coffee and had to wait for lunch time. If you think that one fruit salad would be of great help and it does not cost a lot, as that we also left hotel on departure date at 1 AM not having ( included FB meal/ breakfast), then it appears logical and human to serve some minimum food on arrival. The same thing happend after our 4 days absence while we were on safari. We arrived at hotel at 4 PM tired and hungry asking for at least some fruit salad but the receptions girl was not certain we could get it?! Finally we managed to have one but this is quite odd considering that our room on full board option has been paid and NOT used for 4 days.

Room Tip: The best is to have a cottage, but all rooms are large and clean.

Dear Nadja N,

Thank you for taking time to put down your review and your kind comments on our staff and facility.

We have noted with concern your comments on the service of food, which we must say is quite indifferent with our earned reputation.

On the first instance, upon arrival at 7 am, we had our extensive breakfast buffet serving a host of meal items from fresh juices, assorted cereals, freshly cut fruits, assorted breads , eggs made to your likely and all that comprises of a typical American breakfast buffet.

We have 2 outlets of distinct cuisine, our famous Pizza and Pasta Restaurant serving the best in Italian delicacies as well as our pool Bistro offering a varied menu of light snacks from fresh garden salads, hamburgers, sandwiches, seafood skewers and lots more, these two outlets are operational throughout the day.

In addition to the above we have a 24 hour room service menu fully operation with assorted items from starters, main courses and desserts.

With the above, our guest are spoilt for choice with an extensive food and beverage offering to suit every taste, available day and night.

Our Full board meal offering engages one in the 3 main meals of the day i. e breakfast, lunch and dinner at our main restaurant.

We appreciate your comments and have taken note, we shall indeed look into it to address any shortcomings that may have occurred and attend to them accordingly.

Kind Regards,
Chui team

My husband, my daugther (2, 5 years) and me have had a wonderful time in this friendly, clean and comfortable hotel. The people are kind and always willing to help, they are especialy kind to small childs and offered an extra dinner for kids wich starts at 6 p.m. instead of 8 p.m. for the parents. The only thing we didn't like was the ant-invasion in the floor and toilette in our room and the moskitos (they just came in when the room was been cleaned by open door). But after telling on the reception they sprey the room in the afternoon and we have been free from any insects. Our little girl looked terrible after getting bite of this moskitos (we count over 20 bites in 1 night) and they are getting worse. In an nearby pharmacy we brought a medicine for child and insectbites and two days later we enjoyed our hollidays again. Also the Spa was very good. I took the special offers 3 times and all of them I fall asleep by relaxing very well. We will come back again. Thank you for this holliday! - Oh our daughter liked more to eat the food she knows and wich is not so spicy (finished food in glas for babys) and all the stuff of the hotel jever say a word and was very nice to warm it up in a hot waterbath. Thx therefor, too. We have been there from december to january and we have had ebb and flow one week. So when we have had ebb we watch the exotic sealife by a walk and ignor kind the beachboys. If there was flow we was swimming in the sea. Wonderful. The other time we have been in the babypool and pool, wich are coupled. Also clean.

Room Tip: We have had a room in the GARDENIA building. One of the familyrooms. There is one doublebed and one...

Dear Pharangese,

Thank you for taking time to share with us your holiday experience with us. Your kind comments on our facilities and services designed to meet the vast needs of our various guests including the young ones are indeed appreciated.

Our recently renovated Indian Ocean themed play house: Little Leopard is a haven for the young ones, a fun and educative center for creative, entertaining and educative children activities.

We however note with concern the incident with mosquitoes. Given our natural and warm tropical climate, we do on a regular basis conduct preventive fumigation exercises to discourage the breeding of mosquitoes and ants alike. This is further reinforced by daily spraying in all our occupied guest rooms. We always encourage our guests to report any peculiar situations that may require firmer solutions with us at hand to attend to the matter promptly. Mosquito nets are readily available on request. Standard rooms have fly screens in front of the sliding balcony doors.

Thank you for your constant patronage at the spa during your stay!!! It is indeed a relaxing haven. We are also glad to note that our selection of children’s menu was appealing. We are always excited to learn that we met and surpass our customer expectations, especially the very choosy ones!! (Children)

We all very much look forward to having you stay with us again.

Kind Regards,
Chui Team

A piece of paradise in the coast of Kenya! Excellent accommodations, restaurants, bars, food, service, emerald water, white sand beach, the food served by the chef at the beach is out of this world! Fresh from the ocean straight to your plate! One of my favorite places in Africa!

Room Tip: Apartments away from reception are really quiet and the breeze from the ocean is fantastic!
